First, let me tell you why I'm leaving a product review. It's because of the hilarious email I just received from the seller, assuring me that each review will result in a buzzer going off in the office. Then the buzzer will start a snowball celebration where the manager will lead an office golf-clap, then a wherehoise guy will do a celebratory pushup, the head of marketing running will run outside and give a hug (and possibly a kiss) to the first little old lady he sees, and the marketing director will take a shot of tequila. How can I resist making anyone that happy, let alone a while office?
Anyway, I've been making jewelry for about a year, and I needed a new set of tools. This set has the perfect grip size, nice quality metal, a little set of findings (not sure if they are nickel-free or not though), and a great zipper case to hold everything. I've used the set 4 times so far, and everything seems great. I will update my review if my opinion changes. The only opportunity for improvement that comes to mind is just that the seller should state whether the findings contain nickel or not.

It came speedily and well packaged and I find the items inside useful. I was a little concerned the items would be of cheap quality which they so commonly are in kits but pleasantly surprised that they are made well. The only thing I would have wished for in addition in this pack is a bead hole reamer but the great thing is, I can always acquire them separately and add them in as the case is thick enough (a little over an inch thick) leaving enough space for a project and the reamers to be placed inside. I was also able to place more into the storage container than the various fasteners that came with it. The blue casing they are in is moderately hard casing, well made and sturdy about the durability of reinforced cardboard. I've been able to use the tools inside for not only my beading and wire art but with my cold porcelain work as well!
I found myself in need of some new jewelry tools for a few reasons. I've been using the same set for some time now and the clippers aren't as sharp as they once were and the pliers don't seem to hold as tight either. Also my hands are a bit small so fining a set that doesn't feel awkward or clumsy can be difficult. I ran across this set here and it seemed to have lots of things I would use. I thought eh why not take a chance? Luckily I did take that chance! These are now my ultimate go to tools! They fit my hands perfectly and are sharp with a smooth open and close. The inside of the enclosed box has secure straps that hold everything snug in place...even if one should accidently drop it...twice! All in all This is a great set at a great price! The staff is pretty darn amazing as well!!!
As a newbie to jewelry making, I am enjoying this kit. The only improvement I would make it to print the included user sheet in a larger font (I realize this would mean bigger paper, folded in half) and to include a tool guide. Silly, but not being familiar with the tools, I had to return here to see what the heck I actually bought. Plus, this kit does not include tools for use with memory wire. I learned this the hard way when I tried to make a loop with the enclosed pliers and poked myself hard enough to bleed. I'm OK, don't worry. I do like how the included tools fit nicely into my hands. The case is sturdy, as are the inside straps. All in all, a great purchase!
As a hobbyist I have been beading and making jewelry for the past few years now and I was looking for a new set of tools to replace my old ones. This kit has everything I was searching for, which is great. The tools were of good size (not too big nor too small). The tools felt in the hands much better than my last set. The pliers also have the "Beadstone" logo printed on it which made it look more professional. This set is certainly of high quality and caliber. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this set daily for a month & they have exceeded expectation tremendously ! I am now able to wire wrap/weave for hours without any fatigue or arthritis pain & even typical next-day soreness/stiffness.
Great size & grip for comfort & stability.
But what I’d like to highlight is the precision of these tools. As an experienced machine tool technology prof, I love these! Even the cute little plastic calipers are on point.
Consistency with the same results, Smoothness & reliability from day 1.

The Beadstone 18pc Jewelry Making Kit is just as advertised. It is great for organizing and having everything in one place and is handy to just take and use. The zipper keeps all tools and loose objects in as some pieces are small and the little box with compartments is so very helpful. I would recommend this to any beginner in jewelry making or just to have to fix broken jewelry. It is really easy to use.
As beginner I wanted a nice set with everything I might need to get started. In my case, price wasn't a issue. Since this is something to do while waiting 4 hours twice a week I wanted to be able to secure items in a case and go. I can do this with this kit.
I also purchased the closeable bead board and mat (as suggested in the reviews). And a plastic box to transport everything in.
I was given a card board box of lose beads to play with, so I've been sorting beads while waiting.
Now I'm ready to start.
Terrific value in this little jewelry tool kit. It has all the little pliers that I could need, plus lots of starter items like clasps and rings. It comes in this really nice kit, covered in blue canvas and trimmed in black. It zips easily and lays open for quick access. I could not possibly have bought all these items at this price. So it is a wonderful value, nicely organized, and in a case that will make it easy for me to keep everything together. I love it!
