Like a lot of people probably reading this page, I collect enamel pins, and, if you've ever lost one, you know how much that sucks. I nearly lost a pin when the backing that came with it fell off, and then spent the rest of the day with a sharp pin stabbing me through my pocket. No bueno!
These pins are a great deal. First, they're affordable as heck. Second, they're easy to operate. I have arthritic hands, and I found this pin a snap to manipulate, both getting it on and getting it off a pin post. Third, they are secure! They don't budge at all on your pin post. That's of course what you're here for--finding solid pin backs that will save you from the agony of pin loss. I'm buying more, so I can replace all my pin backs with these!
Locking pin backs are really the way to go if u wear pins or put pins on anything! I have some of those Disney pins from Disney World that come with those Mickey head shaped rubber backs. They work for a little while but eventually they fall off and those pins are like $9-$15 bucks each. So I bought these backs and I use them for all the pins that I put like on my backpacks or attach to my handbags! I haven’t had a pin fall off yet!!! This is a really simple inexpensive way to ensure that you don’t lose your pins.
pin locks were very high quality however for my application it turned out I really needed the added security of a set screw type for my motorcycle jacket. I would definitely use these over the plastic or other metal style with little wings.
Going to be honest, at first glance, I didn't think these would be strong enough to hold onto pin very well. Boy, I was wrong. These hold the pins incredibly well. Unless you pull them off precisely, they're going to hold onto that pin for all their worth. I tried out a few of them on different pins just to be certain and despite using all the force I could in my fingertips, they held strong. Until you lift the "lid" of the pinback first, then it came right off. I'll be replacing all my pinbacks with these soon enough. More than secure enough to hold on tight.
Some work, some don’t. If your lucky they will all work, one of the first ones I used didn’t work and almost returned them right there, but I tried 2..3.. 4.. and 2/4 worked fine. it comes with 40, and pins to hold them in place in case you want to bring them with you on your lanyard before you get your new pins so that cool, no going to complain about that, but I am checking them before I use them.
Work for my Disney pins, work pins, and random pins I have. I’ll be keeping the ones that work and throwing out ones that don’t.

I wish I had found these sooner! I was worried about losing some of my enamel pins off my jean jacket so I took them off rather than risk losing them for good. A friend showed me these locking backings and I'm now happily wearing my favorite pins again. They hold tightly but will come off if you give them a good tug but you have to intentionally try to pull them off before they give. I feel confident they will hold my pins and the price is reasonable. Happy with this purchase and would recommend them.
These are really nice pin backs. The stick out more on the inside of jackets and such but if you don't want to take the chance of losing your fav pin you'll be happy you used them.
Got these for my recent trip to Disney to secure my pins. So glad I did. I only got enough to secure my pins I was planning on keeping and left the standard rubber backs on the pins I was planning on trading. The pins with the rubber backs kept falling off all day and by the end of the trip I had lost 1 pin, ruined 1 pin and lost 2 rubber backs. The pins I used these metal backings with stayed just fine. Will be buying more.
Absolutely outstanding! Works on backpacks, purses, leather/jean jackets, and I've even used them on my daughter's diaper bag. Endless possibilities for your pins with these backs. They work fantastic and hold strong. Haven't had a single loss and I've been using them for over 6 months.
These are super helpful, my pins kept falling off my camera strap and these locking pin backs solved that problem now I have no fear of any of my pins falling off. Just make sure that your pins have the line around the back for the back to grip on to. To get the back off just use your fingernail in the top part and pull up
