This thing took me SO LONG to sort! Lots of sorting while listening to TV. lol
There's a great variety of colors in this jar. Officially there are 30, but I got a small amount of 3 other colors too. Since it was difficult for me to find a consistent list of the specific color names through these reviews, I thought I would add one. I also included a copy of the picture with the color labels directly on it.

There are definitely some between colors that aren't included that would be helpful with shading, but overall this is a great jar with a ton of beads and it was perfect to get me started with.
This is the best deal around for pearler beads. It is kind of a pain to sort them out if you want a lot of one color, but it's worth it for the price difference. There are 30 different colors, from 3 different "groups", standard colors, neons, and translucents. My only complaint is that there is no "true" orange. There are two very similar yellow/orange colors (which I'm calling Gold and dark yellow) but neither is a bold orange.
Standard Colors (Red, gold, yellow, green, cornflower blue, indigo, purple, brown, light brown, tan, light grey, black, white)
Neons (raspberry, fuchsia, tangerine, coral, dark yellow, lime green, seafoam green, teal, turquoise, sky blue, orchid purple, lavender)
Translucents ( Pink, orange, yellow, green, clear) <- The Translucents are also neon-y.
Great price for this huge perler beads container!
It's hard to pick colors but can't beat the price. :) we are pretty obsessed.
Oh the hours of fun my girls have with Perler Beads. So far we have even managed to not knock this jar of 22000 beads over. But I'm not holding my breath. Someday we will hit that goal.
In all seriousness this is great. Has all the colors and things my kids need and it is shocking how long they can spend at this activity.

There's a great selection of colors in the container, including several blacklight-reactive beads (photo attached). Note, these are NOT glow-in-the-dark, just glow under blacklight. For large jobs it's a bit of a hassle to fish out the individual colors you need but you can't beat the price.

Pretty sure in the matter of one week, my five kids have brought us down to 17,000 perler beads. This bucket is a must have if you love to use perler beads. We did not sort before hand, neither did my kids use random beads to make their creations. We simply filled up a tin and they picked out the color they needed. If you have a specific project in mind though, it might be best to supplement with a particular color you need. We made Pikachu, a Creeper, Spiderman and Hello Kitty, then all are blacks were gone. But we have also made tons of other small ones with no missing colors. I'm a little perler beaded out, but my kids still beg to do it everyday. Fantastic project for bored kids.
My kids love it these beads and the crafts they can make with them. I have bought many different buckets, the colors are always beautiful and the beads are always uniform and well made. It is also a great idea to buy some of the large clear square peg boards and search Pinterest or Google for free printable Perler bead designs. There are a zillion out there. These keep my kids very busy and very happy (9 and 5 yo). I would not recommend this craft for kids under 4, they do not seem to have the dexterity to manipulate the beads even in a random pattern. The beads can get messy if you spend a lot of time crafting, but are so easy to sweep up. Very affordable for a fun afternoon of crafting!
I recently started to make video game sprites out of perler beads. The one thing I noticed with all of these reviews is that no one listed what the 30 colors that are included in this jar actually are. (And this is very important if you want to buy in bulk like this jar) I figured it was best if I just posted a picture of the individual colors, so all of you can just see for yourselves. Please see the images of this product for the remainder of this review. This product is awesome as far as value and quality goes, but as other reviewers have stated, sorting is...tedious. They do include 3 large pieces of ironing papers as well. I hope this helps beaders now and in the future!
I purchased the Perler Jar of Beads for my grandchildren.
They are too young to thread beads right now but I want to do another craft with them.
I was given a "sun catcher" craft recipe that requires plastic craft beads.
The Perler Beads 22,000 Count Bead Jar Multi-Mix Colors will be great for this craft.
I wanted to try some cheaper beads for this first time project.
I'll try to post a picture once we have done this project.
I like the handy bucket - it can be re-purposed once the beads are gone.
For the price, I think this was a good purchase.
I bought this item as additional beads along with Pegboards for my daughter loves Perler beads. As her after school care and summer camp both had used this item as activity (she is 8yrs old). Now she plays with her friends, by herself and with me. Most importantly, I love it is because it allows kids to use their imagination and do their own creations.She made whole bunch of her favorite minecraft characters and Christmas ornaments. It`s a great crafts for all ages and family fun. I highly recommend this product.
