I was a bit hesitant to order the gold hooks because they looked so bright and brassy in the picture here, but I was ordering the other colors so decided to go ahead and take a chance on the gold too, hoping they wouldn't be too bad. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and were not the brassy color. They are a normal gold color hook, so don't let the picture scare you. All of these are dainty looking hooks but not flimsy. The wire is sturdy despite being dainty. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.
Having said that, I do have a little concerned on the silver hooks. The listing for all of these hooks states surgical steel, but when I received them only the gold and gray specify surgical steel. The silver just states "earring hooks". This is very important to me since my daughter has highly sensitive ears and I know many others do as well. Because of this, I want to be sure that the earrings I make are only surgical steel, so I will have to set the silver ones aside until I can verity that. Hopefully it's just an omission on the packing info.
I bought these to because I needed earring hooks in bulk. I bought them months ago and I'm still using them! Not all of the hooks are perfect. Some are discolored and some are missing the little bead and crimp. BUT for the amount you get, I still think it is a good deal.
I have been looking for this product for quite awhile and am so glad to have found them. Now people with sensitive earlobes will be able to purchase my earrings without worrying about allergic reactions. Thanks much./Carol
Beautiful bright gold earring hooks that are strong and durable. I love them. They are perfect when you need a better quality earring when making your own earrings.
Overall a great product but some were missing the ball and coil and a few had globs of plating on the bottom of the hook

They are as advertised. Only complaint is that the decorative little spring and bead on the hooks come off easily.

Nice items. Nice color. The metal on the inside is not surgical steel, I think maybe copper. There were many messed up hooks in my bag, kind of a waste but for the most part, I like them.
