I did metalsmithing in college for 7-8 semesters, and have since graduated and moved on to grad school, but I got this hammer and a ring mandrel in order to keep my sizable collection of sterling silver rings in nice round shape. Any time one gets slightly bend, I just round it out with this and the mandrel. Works wonderfully.
Not high quality but way better than expected for the price. This works perfectly for several things I need it for in the shop but not all that I was hoping for. I am happy with my purchase and recommend to others looking for a low cost hammer.
This is a great tool to use when doing metal craft work will not scratch your metal but will help to form the desire shape you want to create.

Works for what I'm using for. Kinda deteriorates as I'm using it, but thats what happens if you use nylon to hit something repeatedly and with pressure. No scratches though. Kinda the whole point of nylon.
