Of the two that I received, one was perfect and the other one had a prong that was longer and bent at a different position...this lead to the diamond being held at a funny angle. While it still seemed to hold the diamond securely, it was hard to rotate it and look for the inscription on the girdle. Probably just a manufacturing imperfection - If I had the patience I would have sent it back and I'm sure the company would have sent another one out.
I don’t know how I have lived so long with gauged pierced ears and not owned this tool. It makes changing beads so easy. I bought another for my daughter and will get another one to keep in my purse.
I've had a plastic tool like this for years and it's incredibly helpful in holding small screws to get them started in hard to reach places. I had my reservations about this one when I bought this but I figured it was worth gambling 4 bucks. Turns out it's a very nice little tool. Well made (almost German quality). A nice solid feel to it. The prong "action" is good and the prongs themselves align well (not always the case for tools of this type). It came with a pretty worthless little plastic case (sleeve actually) but that doesn't take anything away from the tool. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Would have given this a 5 star, but the only problem that I see with this item is that it does have a hard time keeping hold of smaller gemstones. I purchased this to use with my gemstones that I study for my gemology course AND so that I can place stones into my clay creations that I hand make. While it does beautifully with the larger carat or larger stones, it tends to flip or mishandle the smaller items. I like that it has different sizes that it can expand to and it does expand quite a bit. (As shown in photos below). Hope the photos help someone looking into purchasing this item! Pen for comparison. Fairly easy to use and handle width is nice to handle, not too skinny or too bulky.

So pleased that I purchased this handy pick up tool to help when making my jewelry projects. I will be able to use this tool for more than just jewelry and it is easy to use, compact to store and affordable. I would highly recommend this well made tool to anyone and everyone !
This is awesome for picking up small parts, but if working near electricity this is metal so make sure the power is off or get one with a plastic body. When rebuilding friend's PCs or on projects around the house I regularly drop screws and this is perfect for avoiding unnecessary deconstructions.
This works 100% for what it is intended for, picking up diamonds. I've seen so many of these products around, but I really like this one. The listing says it is 4-prong, however mine is 5. It gives a better grip. No worries you're going to lose a diamond! I couldn't recommend this enough.
I found it extremely helpful in holding tiny stones as well as large stones. It grips the stone so it doesn't slip while viewing. I had used tweezers before, until the lovely stone took a walk and could never be found.
Ordered this tool for use in sorting of very small stones, beads, and hobby items. Arrived on time and functions as advertised. Strong enough to pick up larger items, but gentle enough to use of more delicate pieces. Serves my needs well, would recommend to anyone who has fingers that will not cooperate with when dealing with very small items. Honest comment from Honest customer.
