I love having it a bit on the smaller size. Does the work just as well. I am using it for jewelry making so I am hammering smaller items. It's heavy duty without the bulkines. It's perfect for me and I am happy. It will get marked as you use it but not dented. I like that it shows its been worked on.

I use it to hold fabric while I am cutting. I had one of these from a college jewelry class back in the 70s and used it as a handy weight ever since. Just bought two more.
