I love this tool. I first saw it at the bead and button show and bought the one with the smaller loop. While that does work well the loops were a little small for the pieces I was working on so I ordered this size. I am using it with 18 and 20 ga wire. With a little practice this tool works like a dream, the loops come out perfect every time. With this tool in my drawer I won't be going back to making loops the old fashioned way!
My friend & I do Jewelry together and were making loops by hand, which was a very tedious process...I did some research and ran across the 1-step big looper. I was a little skeptical on how well it would perform but was very delighted to find how easy it works! with just a slight amount of 'final tweaking' of the loop to close it completely it really is a time saver & makes consistent loops every time! Well work the $20 I paid for it. There was a slight learning-curve on how to comfortably hold it since it opens so wide. (my hands don't have quite as wide of a grip as these when fully extended)
This tool has changed my life! It makes perfect, consistent loops every time, which makes it perfect for making rosary chain. If you view the YouTube videos on how to use it you will see it easy to bend the wire slightly so that there is little or no gap in finished loops. What slight gap there may be can be easily closed with pliers. Cut the time making chain by more than half. And it's fun to use!
I’m glad I bought this wonderful tool. I’m 73 years old with small hands and did not find it uncomfortable to use or having too wide a grip. It makes perfect consistant 3mm loops. A great helper tool and easy to use.
This make very nice, consistent loops. The only drawback for me is that it makes the loops quite large. I suppose that is fine for some jewelry but not for my purposes. I make rosaries and this is too large for them. If you want a large loop, this is the Looper for you. There are smaller ones though on the market that are probably better for most jewelry and for rosaries.

I love this tool!! Jewelry making has just become so much easier. I would say if you are looking to make small loops for very small beads or smaller loops for earrings, I would go with the smaller looper.

Takes a little getting used to, but once you learn to use the tool, you won't go back to rosary pliers again. Makes a consistent shaped loop every time, something I had trouble with when I used pliers.
