Purchased this kit and was so excited when it arrived. I had seen others open similar kits and couldn't wait to open my own. I had heard some people say that there is a terrible smell from the oyster but this one was just fine and was in an alcohol solution. The oyster was difficult to open and it broke into little pieces. Once I got it open my beautiful pink pearl was inside and looks great in the turtle pendant. I am really surprised by how round it is since I read most freshwater cultured pearls are oval. Love this, super fun and really cool to do at home. 🙂 Would make a great gift.
These are the same thing that you pay $60 for at Vantel Pearls! They are way more affordable and really fun for the whole family!
My daughter absolutely loved this and now wants to get her friend one for her birthday who also shares pearl as her birthstone. I was a little reluctant to order after seeing some bad reviews. So glad I decided to give it a try. Great price too. Arrived pretty quick. I will definitely be ordering more. She ended up with a nice size white pearl and the turtle pendant is beautiful in itself. The turtle necklace charm is adorable. We had a better experience with this one vs the first one we ordered. This one the liquid containing the oyster was clear and the oyster was closed, so closed that we had to actually pry this one open. Made for a cute Easter gift for my daughter.
I buy these for when my daughters get invited to birthday parties. They are always a hit and the price is fantastic considering I usually have a $15 limit for friends' birthdays.

The whole process of opening and searching for the pearl was so fun. Pearls are his birthstone and i covered the can so he thought I was pranking him into opening sardines so it was a very fun tease and wonderful surprise for him to discover he was getting a pearl. We are both pretty sentimental and I know we wont be forgetting this gift, and it was so affordable!

I gave this to my girlfriend the night I asked her to be my girlfriend. She loves turtles and the ocean and it was truly an amazing experience. To make it even more romantic, the oyster shell was shaped like a heart. Couldn't have been more perfect!
I bought several of these for my nieces for Christmas. They all liked them and it was really cool to see them all working to bust open the oysters and then trying to compare colors of their pearls with the chart

Not amazing quality but for my 10 year old daughter it was great. She loved opening it and seeing what she got.
