I use this for making Dreamcatchers. It works great and I love the color because it maintains an authentic appearing aesthetic without the fuss of using actual sinew. It is very easy to work with and the results are beautiful. I am a beginner and this is the first thread I tried.
It also works well for various other projects suck as mobile making, beading and jewelry making.
It is waxed but there is not so much wax that when you tie it in a knot you have wax residue left over. If you required more wax I would imagine that adding some would be very simple with this cord. Personally, I would much prefer having to add than try to remove wax before I used a product.
Other reviewers have mentioned that it breaks but the order that I received is very strong so it appears that they have improved the quality since that feedback.
It is also a very good value for the price. Compared to other similar products at similar price points, you get much more for the money.
I like this cord very much, easy to work with and looks nice. I used it to make macrame hangers for small and medium, fairly light, plants. It had the look I wanted, not really outdated like jute rope might look (which I also have used)
This works much better than the raw (unwaxed) hemp I've been using for years. Sliding knots don't stay put as well until some of the wax wears off, but that's the only complaint I have. (They don't come untied or anything, the just tend to slide around and not stay tight.) It looks like a polished leather cord, and holds up just as well. I made a wrap bracelet from this cord over a year ago that I've worn every day since, and it still isn't even starting to fall apart. It's faded a bit since then, but other than that it's just as good as new. The wax wears off after wearing it in the shower a few times, so if you don't want a waxy cord you could always try soaking this in warm water before using it.
The bistre brown, was a lovely dark brown color and I am glad I chose it. The cord is strong, there seems to be just the write amount of wax on it (I read in other reviews that there wasn't enough wax and I did not find that to be the case). I will probably ordering more waxed cotton cord from this seller, but in 1.5mm or 2.0mm sizes for some other projects I have in mind.
I have bought 3 colors, and all of them are beautiful and great quality. The customer service is also excellent (we contacted them when we received a roll that looks like it had less on it, but it was just wound tighter and they were very kind, patient, and professional).

Description
This roll of lightweight, non sticky, and strong braided round cotton waxed cord has good tensile strength. It does not easily disintegrate. The following features make this spool of Mandala Crafts cord stand apart.
- It is flexible and easy to maneuver but stiff enough to tie knots or hold shapes.
- It has vibrant colors and will not bleed.
- The cord is sturdy and it will not break when being pulled with bare hands.
- It is very uniform in thickness, color, and texture.
- The rope is lightly waxed. It is easy to maneuver and leaves no residue.
- It has a generous amount of cord which makes it very cost effective.
This rope has many applications. It can be used in jewelry making, macramé, beading, or crafting to make bracelets, necklaces, dream catchers, wind chimes, wall hangings, bookmarks, shoe or boot laces, book bindings, or even coiling gourds. The cord barely has any stretch, which makes it a great leather stitching thread. It can be used in wrapping or tying because of its decent tension strength. It can be used to tie balloons, wrap wine bottles, or wrap up cables into a wiring harness in an old fashion way. If you prefer the thread to be more slippery, you can apply more beeswax on the cord.
Cutting Instruction
Melting it with a thread zap or clipping the ends and putting on a bit of clear nail polish will be very effective if you require almost perfect intact ends.

Adorned “Save The Date” Cards for my clients. Tied a beautiful piece of hay from the field on the card in a double wrap. Perfect for photographers packaging as well! Love this mustard color! Unique
This was perfect to fit my needs. I wanted to make some basic necklaces for a 6 and 4 year old. This cord is easy to use and easy to tie. It does fray very easily at the end, but if you use large kid beads, that doesn't matter. This roll is plenty for my needs, but if I ever need more for some reason, I will buy this again.
I like that this product is a natural product, for my VEGAN customers, that don't want leather or pleather. It braids easily. Trim the ends at an angle, to add beads.
Doesn't fit any of my beads. Eventhough they all say 1mm holes. I should've factored in that it's waxed. I'll use it eventually.
The color is vibrant and while it's great for jewlery making I love using it to make my own sketch books!
