I decided to propose to my girlfriend, and that I would design the ring myself. I have been trying to learn how to carve wax, and this carving wax makes it really easy. The wax is hard enough that it doesn't melt or slump, but also soft enough to be easily carved with the proper equipment.
First time in the hand-crafted jewelry realm and this stuff has been great so far. Easy enough to use and just strong enough that I can mess it up with my rough handling.

wax was easy to to use.
Solid stuff. Had to carve quite a bit out to fit my finger...got the large blue squared tube. I wear a size 10 or 11. Might try xl next time. I have never ever done anything like this before, but I feel comfortable and confident working with this stuff. Carves nicely, sanded easily, and smoothed out quickly when I hit it with a lighter flame. This was really fun and now I just have to hope I don't screw up when I cast my mold!
Works fine but I wish there was a bigger temperature range between soft and liquid. Hard to smooth but pretty easy to liquefy.
