I ordered this with a little hesitation because I thought it was going to be too small to show any decent detail... I was, thankfully, incorrect! With just a regular tap of my mallet, the impression came out great, and, with a little black enamel, the detail pops out with no distortion. I would highly recommend this stamp for a fun piece to have in your collection!

UPDATED REVIEW! This stamp works great after all. You need to use a steel stamping block under this and all stamps. I was trying to stamp with a block of wood underneath and did not get any impression. After using the block, not only did the skull stamp work, but the letter stamps worked much better!!
***Does not leave an impression! It is a cute stamp, but because of the fine details it will only stamp in soft wood. My other ImpressArt stamps work good. I'm stamping on brass dog tags.
Should have read the description better. This is a very small design. Good if you want to mark things in a hidden spot.
