Very happy with this lot of beads! They are waxed which simply means they are more black instead of dark grey as the natural soft black color is accentuated. Lightweight, porous, textured, and very matte color, these will contrast well with shiny beads or other matte beads. Since they are porous, they absorb aromatherapy scented oils, how nice!
Package also comes with two rolls of 0.8mm elastic string, and this is a nice bonus! This is the most common size of string elastic, and less likely to break. If making aromatherapy beads, be sure to double string the bracelet as oil will weaken elastic over time.
The different sizes make this lot of beads versatile for many beading projects. Highly recommend. By the way, I see comments about how some beads are not perfect - you will always find some distortion in holes or sizes, esp with porous, rough textured materials. This is normal. We are not buying diamonds or sleeping beauty turquoise.
The lava beads came in little baggies to separate the sizes which is nice because the box they came in is kind of useless. There is one small divider which does nothing. Most of the lava beads are decently shaped and porous. Some of the smallest size were drilled through twice or are pretty mishappen.
Update
Ordered a second time because the price is fairly decent. They got rid of the box and replaced it with a large ziplock bag. The smallest beads look better than last time. After I ordered the price went up.
Very happy with the product. It came nicely packaged sorted by size not just all thrown together. Very nice rich black coloring not faded at all.

I use the beads to make diffuser lava stone bracelets and they hold the oils well. Great product.
