I love this handy tool. I had a pair of earrings that the earring fish hooks were too long and poking my neck, so I trimmed off the excess, and I used this to smooth out the end of the fish hook, worked like a charm.

Arrived on time and in perfect condition. I wasn't sure if this would work but they worked great. Even on bigger sized wire. It makes the ends smooth enough to go without filing.
very nice tool for rounding ends of wire, does what it is supposed to do and is relatively easy to use. Feels well made.

I bought this for use on 18 & 16 G dead soft wire. Those are the two gauges I primary work with when making chains and links, as well as frames. It fits a 16 just snug as a glove and I don't have to do much work to get it to burr. The 18 is a little loose, so I have to sorta roll it around the edges and press firmly outward as I make the rotations. I'd recommend this one for 16, 17, and 18 G but the best was 16G for me as it was the most snug fit. I wouldn't mind having a set of these in 0.4 through 1.2mm cups but haven't found one that is hand held that I like. This little guy gets the job done, though for the 16 & 18.
