Professionally photographed, well designed graphics, easy to use as a reference for ideas & to become better informed about the variety of approaches in working with silver. A useful snapshot of how a variety of jewellers are working worldwide - excellent for those who appreciate fine art contemporary jewellery as well as practising jewellers who wish to blow out the cobwebs and challenge themselves with their work. For those artists working across a variety of mediums this is an enjoyable visual resource which may seed new ideas in other mediums. I would like to have read more info on the artist & how they approach their work, what informs the work etc.

Luscious, inspiring, even to translate into other media (fiber). The photography is clear and shows texture well (important to me). Layout is easy on the eyes and mind. Choice of pieces is exquisite. This will be a great gift for your favorite artist!

This book is quite interesting. It showcases the works of top metalsmiths. This is a juried collection. The pieces were chosen by Talya Baharal. She is an award-winning art jeweler. There is quite a varied collection of styles in this book and the jewelry is very beautiful. Most of the pieces are contemporary or avante-garde. Some of the pieces are quite bizarre. Things you might find in a museum maybe, but you would never see anyone wear in real life. But, as they say, art (beauty) is in the eye of the beholder.

Although this is not my favorite "500" book, I did enjoy it and found lots of inspiration in it.

the foots are excellent, the object well chosen, the book can be looked over and over, we recommend it very much.

"500 Silver Jewelry Designs" beautifully presents 500 silver creations in a wide verity of styles, that range from classic to outlandish. Many of these pieces are closer to sculpture than jewelry and quite honestly more than few really are not practical for daily wear.

This is also not an instructional guide and it is often difficult to see how the piece was made, but there are a lot of pieces that have provided inspiration for my own jewelry. The presentation and photography are absolutely outstanding, making this a delight to page through for enjoyment and possible ideas.
