I have to wear pin backed brass for work and all of the dammits that come with the brass is nothing short of third world trash. I have yet to have one of these or have one fail/fall off while at work. They are quick releases so taking them on/off for the wash is a breeze. Best brass keepers I have ever seen!
These pins are more copper gold/rose gold than yellow gold, so it doesn't match the color of most of my gold-colored pins. Though since the backing won't really be viewed by others, it's not a huge issue, but would have preferred a better color match. More importantly, the locking pin backings work effectively as they intended to, and therefore a satisfying purchase. Comes shipped in a reuseable tin box.
Very happy that these backings keep my pins locked tight. They were easy to attach, but tricky to remove. Had to watch tutorials to figure out how to remove them quickly and properly. So far, I've used 15 out of the 30 in the box, and only one piece gave me troubles; the flushed flat movable bit fell out when I tugged it, so I had to use a pair of pliers to rip the rest out from my pin. There was no damage to the pin or my bag. The flush flat movable bit could be reattached to the backing once I got everything out, but I have not tested whether it could be easily removed from a pin again.
Great product. Works very well and stays on tight. Much better than those cheap butterfly clasps we get with my uniforms.

Reusing old pin backs, stolen earring backs, pencils are a thing of the past. These are the real deal. Place theme on you uniform and the will hold. I ha e not lost one yet running a very active District and Beat. If they sink work just bitch about how the are like everything else you have tried. They work.
These are great. Much better than the retainer that come with the pins. Ignore the people who couldn't get the keepers off, and had to cut them off. They just don't know how to use them. If you put a finger on the bottom part, and pull the top part, it comes off every time. Great product.
