I just got these in & couldn’t wait to bring them in the sun! They come in a cheap-o bag with instructions inside. The are also clear since they’ve been in a dark package. I got them in the evening so I tried testing the glow first with exposure to my LED lights... BINGO... Off to my next test; brought them outside today & the immediately started to change into all veriations of colors! I bought some rainbow colored elastic to string them with so you can see it when the go back clear. Such a fun idea that gives an fun variety to a single kid project. ONLY SUGGESTION TO OTHER BUYERS..... BE SURE TO STRING THEM IN UV (natural sun) LIGHT IF YOU WANT THE COLORS IN A SPECIFIC ORDER. WHEN THEY ARE CLEAR, YOU HAVE NO IDEA 😉
UPDATE: used them today & not enough sun to bring out their color. Kids strung them with excitement to go in the light to see what colors they ended up stringing. Turned out well.
They really do work, even on cloudy days. I bought these for a simple experiment for the kids that I teach and they absolutely enjoyed them. Will buy again the next time I need a fun activity.
These beads change color quickly! The color is brighter when the sun is out and duller when it is cloudy
They are great for what they do. They turn colors upon receiving sunlight. They are a great item for jewelry making or kids parties. You can even mix them with regular beads.
Just wish there were a few more colors. Perfect for my daughter who only cares about pink and purple. But not as ideal for my son who wants all the colors of the rainbow.
I am a repeat buyer. Love making bracelets in my classroom. The kids love making their magic beads

The material of products:
JPSOR Scientific UV beads are extremely sensitive to natural light and change color dramatically from white to various colors when exposed to sunlight or even on an overcast day. Containing trace amounts of a photochromic pigment that are sensitive to the ultraviolet component of daylight, the beads have many different uses ranging from scientific testing of (ultraviolet) sun block materials to the creation of 'smart' jewellery.
--------------The Purpose Of The Goodlucky Uv Beads ---------------
Not only applicable to a variety of artifacts, unique gifts, also applies to all kinds of teaching, party game activities, and it can cultivate the perception of colors and letters.
Watch white beads change to colored when taken outside the building! When returned they turn back to white. What causes the change? Humidity? Temperature? Fresh air? Birds flying overhead? The beads contain pigments which react with ultraviolet light from the sun, even on a cloudy day. Great for teaching UV awareness! Use the beads to test the UV blocking effectiveness of sunblock, sunglasses, windows, etc. Lesson activities are included.
As indicated on the description beads do change color and arrived on time!!! Thank you
I have used them yet but I know for a fact that they do GROW and it's GREEN.
They worked great and my students loved them. They do not turn as bright as the picture and quite a few didn't turn at all, but for the price they are definitely worth. My students thought they were magic. Will definitely buy again next year!
Great beads, nice colors in the sun
I had my class make beads bracelets for the first day of summer.
They were amazed when we went outside.
