This product is a great value. It is easy to work and good for most applications. However, it is not quite as strong as the Ferris and Matt wax I usually use, and breaks easily with the more fine detail work. If you're making big, chunky rings, Phyhoo is great, but for the more intricate pieces, with wax detail of less than 1.5mm, I get frustrated. It is slightly flexible, making sanding of pieces less than a millimeter thick difficult because the wax flexes away from the file.
This wax comes at a great price (about 50% off compared to other brands)... So far I've made a few rings and the wax is easy to use, not THAT different from the mainstream blue wax. The price can't be beat. Highly recommended.
I haven't used it yet but it showed up quick. Seems very nice. Can't wait to start carving.
