Used this to line the inside of the propane forge I made . It works great . Going to get a larger one to line the foundry I'm building .
Only 4 stars because I haven't been able to install and test for my application yet. It will be installed (wrapped) over a set of stainless steel shorty headers on a V8 ford in a boat installation. These headers glow red hot under load and I expect to be able to lay a hand on the covering less than an inch away from 8-1200 degree hot stainless. about 1/5 the price of some products out there for this purpose.
This product is easy to handle, easy to cut, shape and conform to the project, and provides an excellent heat barrier at the level specified on the packaging. Gloves, eyewear and mask are recommended.
