Got this for a Boy Scout Leatherwork Merit Badge requirement. It was fun to make a lanyard again like I did as a kid. Great assortment of colors and plenty of materials to make multiple projects.
This lacing cord is perfect for beading those little animal keychains. My son is 6 and is able to secure each row very tightly, and as you know if you've ever beaded keychain animals, this is of vital importance. It allows us to keep their shape quite well as we work AND we can wind through each pony bead 4 times fairly easily for those tougher builds. My only complaint (and I don't know if it's a complaint or just some helpful advice) is that you have to be careful not to allow the bead to twist as you're working on your project. This is NOT round cord so it won't roll over and self correct as it gets twisted. It is easy to adjust, but if you don't make sure the cord is laying flat before you move on the animal will loose its shape and you will have to take it apart to make it lay flat.
good quality gimp, easy to work with... This was purchased so I could impress my grandchildren with my techniques that I learned in girl scouts! It is making a great comeback!

I love it I used to make lanyard keyring designs when i was younger and I loved doing it I finally got back into it and this is the perfect type to use
No red? Really? I would give the product 4 stars for the lack of red alone. Great kit otherwise. I just bought a different kit with red included. This is still a wonderful item. I came back for a second one not long after getting the first. Which is why I still have 5 stars.
I'm in the Big Brother Big Sister program. I bought this for my Little Sister. She loves it. Great activity to bond over. It has everything that you need to get started. I didn't even realize that it can with key chain hooks. Score!
A lot more lanyard came in this than I had expected from viewing the online picture. My kids had a blast making keychains and bracelets.
