The pin backs worked well and held tightly. Here is a tip on use: it works best to twist off the pin back when removing it rather than pulling it straight off. Pulling it straight off is hard, but that is why it works so well to hold tightly and keep the pin from falling off! If you twist it while holding the pin stable, it is much easier to remove.
I needed clear ones for my project so these worked well. Normally you wouldn't care too much about the color since it is inside the clothing or hidden under a lapel. My project made a brooch into a necklace, so it is less noticeable with the clear pin backs versus the black ones. So, the price seems a little high for the product since I can buy a complete set of 50 blank lapel pins with black rubber pin backs for $6.99 which I also purchased at the same time. So I will buy these again if I need them, because I needed clear ones and they are a good product, but the black ones work just as well and are cheaper.
Yellow color makes them easy to find if dropped. However, these typically don’t fall off the pins they’re plugged onto. If these ever hit the floor, it will be because they slipped out of our fingers, not off the pins. These have a strong rubber smell that the black versions did not.
I had picked up some pins with metal backings and found the pins good but the backings not up to snuff, and ordered these to replace them. They work great, and you can wear them without fear of scratching or cutting yourself on metal parts.
these are soft when you grip them an do not leave "grab" marks on your fingertips, from pressing into a hard material. they are really bright as well, i did not mind having a bright backing on my dark cloths since i wear heavy things, so the color does not matter.. they hold tight and fast, i trust them for my jean jacket and my purse strap.

These hold my rank insignia in place. In order to get them at my place of employment, I have to buy the insignia, which only has two clutches per insignia!
they work great and do not come off and do not scratch or rug the jacket like the metal ones. Would purchase again.
