I been using magnetic clasps for several years. I like these smaller ones, they are lightweight but strong. First time buying them Amazon & from this seller. The jewelry stores put a small clasp or a lobster claw on their gold jewelry which makes it difficult to put on and take off the chain or necklace. These magnetic clasps are easy to put on your existing chain or necklace. They are lightweight and stay in place on the back of your neck where clasps are. Love them !!!
These are great. Very fine quality and quite strong for their small size. I tried pearls and a heavy pendant on a triple chain and nothing moved. I kept checking to be sure since I wore the heavy pendant all day!
I bought the GF since I gave some as presents and wasn't sure if any of the recipients had sensitivity to silver. Gold is usually safer in that regard. They're unobtrusive and the color is almost irrelevant since they're really so small.
I bought several batches of these to keep permanently on a few of my fav pieces, mostly silver...without fear of loss. Even had my car seat-belt tugging nearby...only problem I had was getting a few strands of hair caught, 'cause it's so easy to use these that I got sloppy! :)
Recommended for necklaces, chains, but NOT for bracelets. I would not trust since bracelets get more direct abuse.

I bought these for my wife, who has arthritis in her hands. With these clasps, she only has to get the ends of the necklace chain close to each other, then they snap together and hold securely. Of course, this size is intended for fine, thin chains. They might be pulled apart by a thick, heavy necklace. However, there are larger magnetic clasps with stronger magnets that work fine with heavier chains. Even if you don't have health problems with your fingers, these make clasping and unclasping a necklace very quick and easy.
Love these! Can't believe I've lived without these for so long. I used to not bother switching necklaces because it was such a pain taking them on and off, but this makes life so much easier & now I don't hesitate changing up my necklaces every day. They are so strong that I'm not paranoid at all that my necklaces will come off. Definitely ordering more so I can put them on every piece I own. Also, great for layering necklaces so they don't get tangled in back of your neck.
The ones I receive were gold (nor silver). Gold is not only what l wanted, and they were easier to install and much stronger than some larger ones I subsequently bought and mistakenly rated 5. I'm going to get some more of these for my granddaughters!

These clasps are great! I have used these on expensive necklaces and never think twice about losing it. I had to order another set because 2 of my first set the plating came off. I have short hair and the clasp was easily seen. It looked dingy. I think the oils on your skin didn't help either. This is why the rating of 4.
Great invention. Makes putting on and taking off necklaces so easy. I have ordered a few sets and I find that the necklaces that have them attached are the ones I wear regularly because of how easy they are to put on and take off. Also, they are very strong.
I needed small magnetic clasps for several necklaces I have with fragile chains. These clasps were exactly what my old fingers needed to be able to wear my necklaces again. The magnets are strong and I don't worry about losing my necklaces as I don't anticipate them coming apart. I also ordered the small sterling silver ones and love those too! I would recommend these.
I bought these because with acrylic nails I couldn’t get my jewelry on. They stay gold! So far, I’ve showered with it on, swam in the pool, and they have stayed golden! I had bought some others that turned within a week. They are super strong too. Yes, if they outweigh the pendant, they will slide around to it. But they have helped me change necklaces more often and it makes me happy:)
I am so pleasantly surprised by the quality and strength of these magnetic clasps. I am older with arthritic fingers and necklace clasps have become a real challenge for me. All you have to to with these is get the two pieces close enough to one another and the magnets are so strong they grab one another. I have put them on my 14k 1.5 and 2 mm so far and they look lovely and work extremely well. Highly recommend.
