The first time they came in a little zip lock bag tied with thread to avoid tangling. The second time around it came one of those chiffon-looking bags and the chain was on a flat spool. Now I'll give it 5 stars, rather than 4.
Note:
These chains are quite delicate and average sized jump rings don't fit. I purchased 26 gauge jump rings from a seller on etsy and they worked fine.. but also a pain to work with b/c it's similar to threading a needle each time.
I am quite happy with this Chain. It offers many different uses for my jewelry making. To name a few: Make loops, make extenders and of course use as the entire necklace/bracelet item. Stainless Steel is the best way for me to go, rather than Sterling Silver Plated. First off, it won't turn colors or bother skin after wearing several times. Stainless Steel won't change color and is very durable. Secondly, the price is definitely something that fits in my budget.
I looked at a TON of bulk chains before I purchased this one. I couldn’t be any happier with my decision! I even bought another highly recommended one and this chain is (in my opinion) way better. My only complaint, which could be because I may have gotten a defected one? My chain came cut up - I would be unraveling the chain and it would end... I found that odd. I just took the little pieces that were left over due to that and made a bracelet.
I will definitely order again!
The 3.2mm links make a substantial chain. This size is definitely not delicate. However, if you use it for men's jewelry or for more prominent pendents/charms/beads, this size is appropriate. The only thing I wish for improvement is the number of clasps. 10 is not enough for the length unless I only make long necklaces. If you want to make shorter necklaces (18/20 inch) and/or bracelets, you have to buy more clasps. The size of the clasps fits the size of the chain though.
Great quality chain. I ordered the 2.5mm and it is nice and strong. The color is a little grayer than I thought it would be, but it is identical to the picture (which makes it my fault for color difference) This is a great product and is very strong. I had bought some chain from Hobby Lobby and it is crap compared to this. Great Product and I will buy from again.

This is beautiful chain. Yes it is very small (1.5mm), but that's what I was looking for. I did have to invest in all new jump rings though because my standard 20 gauge did not fit. I can get 22 gauge to fit if I'm patient (it's like threading a needle), but prefer 24 gauge.
This is the prettiest stainless steel chain I've ever seen. It literally sparkles. Most SS chain I see is kind of dark, but the sparkle on this makes it look bright. Not as bright as sterling silver, but perfect for what I needed.
I've ordered 5 rolls of this so far and it's all been consistent in quality. Another reviewer mentioned that it snagged on clothes and hands, but I have not had that problem. It's very strong, but delicate.
It does not come on a roll. I don't know why people keep complaining that it's supposed to, but doesn't. The pictures don't show any spools, but maybe they used to? It comes on a card in a little plastic zip. I haven't had any problems with tangling. When not in use, I wrap it back around the card and store it in the ziploc.
Overall, great quality chain. Can't go wrong.
Not often am I as happily surpised by the quality and appearance of findings bought on line. This is a true exception. The look is dainty and uniform with a lovely shine and sparkle. The quality is A-1. I will be looking at other sizes and definitely ordering more of this size. I am extremely pleased with this transaction. Thank you so much.
This chain is very elegant and easy to work with. I've used it to replace my silver-plated chains (you know, the ones that stain your neck when you sweat) and I'm very happy with it :) It comes with 100 jump rings (I think?) and 10 lobster clasps as promised. Starting only yesterday, I wore one of my crystals with it's new chain and received compliments from so many people!
Smaller than I thought but very sturdy piece of chain...I tried popping it with my hands. I wasn't able to..I would purchase again
Excellent quality and durability. From what I can tell the chains are closed which makes them sturdier. After reading another review I tugged on it firmly to make sure it wouldn't come apart and it passed the test. Have sold several necklaces using this chain and no issues or complaints. I've already purchase multiple times and will continue to use this as my go to for jewelry making.
