This is the best thing since sliced bread! I'm a new beader and this Beading Board is fantastic! The little places for me to store beads I'm working on are great, and the fact that it's flocked is just icing. It may just be me, but occasionally the measuring throws me off, but that's so minor I really don't care..haha!
I would go so far to say that if you are new to beading (even if you aren't) this is a must-have item. It'll save you time stringing over and over since you can lay out your pattern on the board and it'll quite often catch those beads that try to go rollin, rollin, rollin...(Rawhide!!) *ahem* the beads that attempt to escape.
I'd recommend this to anyone, even if you're not "on the go"; it's got a plastic cover that snaps on it and holds in place that is so handy for saving your work for later!

This designing board is perfect for laying out ideas. I’m going to purchase a couple more since I’m usually simultaneously working out multiple designs!
I didn't get a bead board until now because I just got into beading, one aspect of jewelry making (was not into it before). I saw a bead board at Michael's that is soft and has no protective cover that asked for more than this Beadaholique's. I am glad that I got it from Amazon. The board is more rigid thus would be easier to use. The hard shell protector is a very thoughtful touch. It keeps the half finished product in place, loose beads in the shallow, and enable transporting. I can't think of anything negative about this board.
This is my second one. I didn't realize what I had and gave it away. These bead boards are terrific as the picture shows you. I'm able to make necklaces and measure them out to the exact length my customer needs. They were delivered so fast I thought they brought them from next store. The packing was outstanding. This board also has a cover with it so you can leave your beads as is and continue later.everything about this board is great!
New to beading, love it! Started in late March when wracking my brains re: gifts for dear friends of 40 yrs for our annual "Aries Party" in April (we're all 🐏!) But as we're now in mid-50s & already have what we need/want - in fact we're all downsizing, from knickknacks to houses! - makes it hard to find good gifts. So while surfing Amazon for ideas, came across beautiful loose ceramic beads & impulsively bought all the basics for making bracelets. I put together the bracelets, also adding some lava beads & bought essential oils to dab on them. It took many hrs & moments of frustration, (thank God for YouTube!) but learned a lot. I customized them to reflect each friend's personality, including the oils - a great "shared" gift, made one for me too - & couldn't believe what a good job I did, lol!
But it was maddening when the beads often took off for parts unknown😤, or when I changed my mind on design, etc. So finding this board was a Godsend now that I'm starting on necklaces! It's well made, self-explanatory & LOVE the ability to save my work w/out worry (especially from my two curious, "oooh, it's playtime!" cats😅). Can't beat the inexpensive price either, especially considering the time & aggravation it saves you. Really, it's a must-have!😍📿

There were a lot of reviews complaining on how flimsy the board is. It's not made out of heavy PVC plastic by any means but for laying your beads out and keeping them from rolling away, it does the trick. I thought the plastic lid would be extremely thin but it fits snugly and for just lifting on and off there shouldn't be any problem. My local craft store sells boards without lids but I have a curious little kitty, so I like having a snug fitting lid. For the few dollars I paid for the board, I am very happy. Shipping was also super quick without extra cost.
I was expecting a much more flimsy set than what arrived due to a customer's review, but the actual product is a little sturdier. I also saw a 4 piece set on firemountain.com later that has the board entirely encased in a rigid container and a clear lid and sits on top of a piece of foam for 14 bucks. I gladly purchased it..
I love this board and the fact that it has a lid. I can save my work and the loose pieces without losing any. The soft felt-like covering keeps the beads from rolling around. The only thing is that the ink on some of the measurements has started to wear off. I have only had this since December.
I used my new board all weekend and I could not be happier with it. It has room for three projects, spaces for storing beads while beading, a space for your pliers, tweezers, etc., a very handy ruler and the best part is the clear plastic cover for storage or later use. The only problem with the tray is that it could be just a little bit higher as it will not secure with larger beads. But since most of my projects have smaller or medium sized beads and it works out perfectly. Even though the lid is not secure with the larger beads, it still does offer some protection to keep your project in place.
For beading work, this tray is great! I'm sure I will be recommending this tray to fellow beaders for their projects.
You pay for sturdiness from the light weight, but this is absolutely essential for me because I travel a lot. I love using this board to keep my current projects in order and secured. Highly recommend it for travelling!
