Fancii LED Lighted Slide out Pocket Magnifying Glass - 10X 20X and 30X Multi-Power Small Portable Loupe Magnifier with UV Black Light | Best for Jewelry, Diamonds, Gems, Coins, Stamps, Rocks

Fancii LED Lighted Slide out Pocket Magnifying Glass - 10X 20X and 30X Multi-Power Small Portable Loupe Magnifier with UV Black Light | Best for Jewelry, Diamonds, Gems, Coins, Stamps, Rocks

I was actually surprised at the clarity and quality of the lenses on this little guy. It's really well put together, and seems quality to me. And it's fun to use, has awesome magnification, and the LEDs work great illuminating the 15x and either the 30x or 60x lenses. I haven't had a use for the UV light yet, but it's cool to have, and probably useful for some people.
I also appreciate that the lenses are well protected when it's not it use, so I can just throw it in a bag, or toss it in a drawer, and not worry about the lenses getting scratched. When using the higher mag lenses, you can get pretty close to that lens, and any scratches or dust would be annoying, but as long as I close it after use, the lens maintenance is pretty minimal. The light switch and slide seem to be holding up and feel good. Not too loose or cheap feeling and not too tight or squeeky. It just does what it's supposed to do.
Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase because it's everything I wanted it to be, with better quality than I expected for the price. It's well made, and everything works. I also got a follow up email from Fancii Optics Team checking to make sure that the product was good and that I was satisfied. I didn't need to utilize customer service, but it seems like they are there in case anything goes wrong.
I took a few pictures of Jackson's right eye for this review. 2 pictures with the camera (phone) at a fixed distance of about 21cm, 4 pictures at about 8cm, and the last 2 pictures with just the 30x and 60x right up against the camera lens. Dunno why some of my pics keep loading upside down, but thanks Obama. Anyways, this thing is just cool!

I've had numerous one-eye 'loop-type' devices in the past - under-powered plastic lens jobs that didn't do well and broke the first time you dropped one. Cheap and just as cheaply constructed. I am a private collector of quality mechanical pocket watches and have used quality LED-assisted magnifying glasses. They work, but at times are heavy and cumbersome for the delicate work I do when inspecting the internal workings of a multi-thousand dollar watch mechanism. I also have an excellent computer microscope but it requires set-up and calibration. I needed something better. After an internet search, I found this Fancii LED Slide-out pocket magnifier. Like most such, the Ad talked a good game, and I was skeptical. The price wasn't out of line so I bought one. It arrived faster than I thought it would, was packaged well and comes with a carrying pouch. Relatively light in weight, it is well constructed. Pull the slide out to full extension turns on the LED, illuminating your choice of three levels of magnification. A slide switch on the right provides a selection of either the LED with illumination for both LED 20x or LED 30x or an ultraviolet light source. Using it to examine the watch train of a 126 year old Elgin mechanical-wind pocket watch impressed me with the clarity offered by all three lenses and especially the ease of use. So far, I'm wonderfully happy with this magnifier given the full range of functions that I have never had available to me with any other such device. Note that I do NOT know or have any relation or contact to or with anyone selling this pocket magnifier. My Review is my own personal experience with this device to date. I can state with conviction, "Buy with Confidence," it does everything it is advertised to do. JCH

I have had this product for a little over a week now, and I just LOVE everything about it. I know, I know...might sound silly to be so enthusiastic about a little pocket magnifier, but sometimes a product just seems so convenient, thoughtfully designed and well-executed that one can't help but feel good every time one uses it.
The size is perfect-- as small as it can be and still be useful, fits perfectly in pocket, purse, or anywhere else I can think of stashing it. It feels great in my hand--solid, with enough heft to feel well-made, but definitely light enough to be a non-factor in pocket drag, purse weight, etc.(my scale says 50g.).
The light's auto turn on is very convenient, the choices of lights and enlargement are great and have so far worked perfectly for everything I've needed help seeing...and it's even kind of smart looking/pretty, with its textured black surface.
Speaking of surfaces, I don't know if it's intentional, but the bottom surface is matte and slightly roughened, which not only feels good in the grip, but is practical in that it minimizes the chance of the magnifier's slipping out of the hand, which might happen with something so small, I guess, esp. if one were in hurried or careless mode.
As if all this (and the prime shipping) weren't enough, the seller sends a follow-up email with helpful info on using the device, and which looks like this company is out to rival Amazon in customer-centricness. I don't know about you, but I sure can't help but be impressed when a seller writes, "If you're not satisfied... let us make it right for you. Simply message us back by responding to this email and we will do whatever it takes to make you happy."
On top of all this, the company claims to be a small business which, if true, would be another plus for me (I can't vouch for their small business status, I'm just telling you what their email says. Similarly, I can't say whether they'd live up to their "whatever it takes to make you happy" pledge, since I'm already over the moon-- or as far over as a magnifier can get me-- about this product. But I gotta say, based on the magnifier itself and the tone of the company's email, I believe them).
All in all, I am beyond satisfied with this product.

I love this little pocket magnifier. first of all i like the design, the leds are bright. there’s 3 light settings x10, black light, and x30. the x10 is very bright. all 3 magnifiers work as suggested. very powerful tool. i absolutely love this gadget. it’s perfect for seeing the cut of a diamond. i included a picture of this unpolished emerald i found out in the woods with the x10 magnifier. it really doesn’t do it justice the x10 is really nice probably twice the magnification of this picture and the other 2 are just woah! ;)

Someone broke into our car and stole my purse. I thought I was smart -- I'd locked my wallet in the car's locking glove compartment, so at least the "smash and grab" thief didn't get any money, credit cards, or anything else of value. Or so I thought: just lipstick, a comb, a pair of dollar-store reading glasses... But turns out there were a number of other things I began to miss! I'd been carrying a small jeweler's loupe. I don't see too well, and especially don't see well in dim lighting. I can usually overcome this handicap by using bright light (e.g. sunlight) and magnification. Anyway, the thief got my loupe and I started to miss it terribly. It became apparent it would have to be replaced. I googled around and investigated dozens of options. This Fancii model seemed like a good choice because IT HAS BUILT-IN ILLUMINATION -- and -- 3 LEVELS OF MAGNIFICATION! Thus far I've "played" with it only briefly. It's great for reading all the mini-print ingredients, instructions, and warnings on over-the-counter medications. It was also fun to inspect a small assortment of gemstone jewelry. This little device has two LEDs -- one on the left, one on the right. Great for identifying lamellar structure in peridot. The UV feature is a big plus. It's a tiny bit of fun to know which diamonds exhibit green fluorescence. And... did you know mouse and rat urine glow under UV light? Fits nicely in my (new) purse.

I sort of vacillated between giving this 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 because it does seem to be well constructed, the lighting is well positioned and the 10x lens works well. The down side are the other two lens. Both have a lot of distortion around the edge. The 20x can be used but don't buy this if you REALLY need a 30x magnifier. As a kid in school there was an experiment that used a drop of water as a magnifying lens. Well, looking through the 30x is like looking through a drop of water (and its about the same size as a drop of water). There is so much distortion around the edge it is almost useless.
However, I would highly recommend this as a very nice, pocket 10x magnifier (just don't depend on it for the 20x and 30x aspects of it.). If you really need a 20x or 30x that you would be using most of the time, this is probably NOT the magnifier to get. If you just want to have a 20x and 30x handy for use once in a while, this will make due. I use this for coins and the 20x is OK for checking for things like mint marks that have slight doubling. If the 20x and 30x were a bit bigger and didn't have the distortion I'd give it 6 stars if that were possible.

I've used a hand-lens since my college days (some decades ago) and will continue to use it, but this fancy but inexpensive magnifier not only magnifies at !0 X but 20 X and 30 X. This is a fun addition to our field kit which we take on both hiking trips and work which involves looking at very small particles of plants (like pollen and details of leaf structure). The UV light is quite bright and shining it over some of my antique ceramics and glass really makes some glazes and glass stand out (worth the price alone). In fact I can't imagine anyone being disappointed at this price. Carry it around and look at stuff. You'll be amazed.

One thing all pawn shops and flea markets who feature coins for sale have in common is the fact that the lighting is unpredictable or non-existent. That's why I like to carry this little lighted magnifier with me. It dos not matter where I am or what the lighting is like, I can examine every coin in the exact same light and magnification.

It's inexpensive, yet rugged, and when I pull it out, it is a little intimidating. It suggests that I am serious about my coins and perhaps it will not be too easy to out-negotiate me when it comes to prices.

There are other uses for this little light, for sure, but I use it mainly for quick examination of coins, For that... it's a gem.Fancii LED Lighted Slide out Pocket Magnifying Glass - 10X 20X and 30X Multi-Power Small Portable Loupe Magnifier with UV Black Light | Best for Jewelry, Diamonds, Gems, Coins, Stamps, Rocks

I am legally blind and use the Francii LED for reading small print and viewing objects. I find it very helpful for newspapers and menus. The video that was given in the Amazon ratings is a bit misleading as it states that the LED light does not work at the 10x sitting they are attempting to use it at an incorrect focal length. The light works fine when used correctly. I've just had it for a week so fingers crossed on the battery life.

Great loupe. I use it for looking at micrometer-level in-accuracies for my metrology work, to look at wafers for example, and other high-precision parts. This beats taking the time to put things under a microscope and wasting time adjusting it. It's fast to use to get a quick glance at small features.
It's easy to use. You just need to know how to use it. The lower mag you can use by looking at the part while moving your eyes a little further away and then playing with the distance between the magnifier and the part itself. For the high magnifications, you need to put the magnifier right up to your eye and then move close to the part while looking through it. The lights are really helpful as well to get sufficient lighting under high magnification.
