I have never taken a course or done much reading on jewelry making. However, I know some basics from taking parts and beads from costume jewelry, buying a few things for decades to make bracelets, earrings & necklaces just for me, my family and friends.
I love to do repurposing (upcycling) most anything. I also love simple, well made items - jewelry included. Bling and chunky are not my taste. These rings are perfect for me.
They aren't flimsy nor have they turned black in places, even after my novice attempts using them to attach charms or little odds and ends to jewelry pieces and handmade books/bookmarks. I used the right tool for holding them open (I used to use my fingernails on rings). I did try to use my fingernails just to see, but these wouldn't budge much at all. I was impressed.
Recently, I forgot to take off a necklace I made before I started to give my dog a bath...not smart, I know. I knew I had probably ruined my necklace and certain that I would have to replace the rings after it air dried on a towel. But, I didn't have one ring discolor! I was very surprised and relieved. It's been over almost a month and the necklace looks great.
I'm no where near through my first pack of these, but am ordering more. There's a lot per pack, they're pretty, sturdy (for my needs) and come packaged well without any missing or damaged. Plus, the cost is excellent!
I have no reservations in recommending these to you. I hope you find this review helpful. I appreciate detailed reviews when I am shopping for new-to-me or any product.

I’ve bought similar rings and they eventually rusted away. These do not and work great.
Nice, but took a very long time to arrive. I had to use another product before they came.
These are nice, tight split rings, and as such, because of their tiny size, I recommend using split ring pliers with them to reduce frustration in trying to open it and slip it onto something.
Love these! They wirk just like a key ring. Easier to use and much more secure.
