The punches are hard enough to use for aluminum prototypes. I have used them on harder metals w/o success however, on copper they also work well. I am very satisfied with the 3-piece punch set. Thanks!

Description
Stamp any flat, soft metal. 3 stamps included each with a different celestial design. You will get a sun, moon and star design. Use this punch set to personalize metal blanks (made from non-ferrous metals such as Sterling Silver, Copper, Vintaj Natural brass and more). 3/16 Inch (5mm) design. Made of tempered steel for years of service. Use with a metal bench block or anvil and a 16 ounce flat head hammer. Hold your blank in place on a bench block using simple masking tape. The masking tape can also act as a guide to assure your design is in the right spot. Measurements: Punch is 3" in length. Design width for stamps is 5mm (3/16 Inch). Quantity: 3 stamps (each has a different design).
