Exactly the kind that come with dog harnesses! I sewed these onto all my dogs' jackets that didn't already have a D ring and am very pleased with the results! I could have even gone down a size in D ring since these are for medium to large dogs and my dogs are tiny (7 lbs and 12 lbs).
I use these for purses. They seem to hold up well so far!
