Bought it to test silver coins that I have been buying and it really works. I am going to be using a metal detector at a local park and if I find jewelry or coins, this will be the way to test them. It is a great kit, with everything you can possibly need to determine if you are buying gold or fools gold!
Having fun experimenting with this kit. Have not used it very much, but I feel it is useful for general purposes and for hobbyists. Comes with a lot of extra stuff that I wasn’t looking for but am now glad I have.
Everything is great except the diamond tester. It works when it wants to and came broke. I didn’t expect the best quality since it’s online shopping but I probably wouldn’t have spent this money had I known it would be this awful.
This was the best kit I have ever purchased when it comes to discovering jewelry. Even my 11 year old got addicted to using it and tested every piece of my jewelry! LOL This is a great addiction to my metal detecting gear and I hope will come in handy someday soon. It didn't have a case, but that was not a problem. It allowed me to become creative in finding a durable bag to keep it all in. I keep the acids in the box to keep them together and not become damaged. The scale was accurate, but I only tested it on my gold rings. Not the silver ones. The diamond tester rang true. It gave me an accurate reading on my engagement ring and can't wait to find a diamond ring to test it on. This product was actually easy to understand with the instructions and I highly recommend this product.
