I use this in lapidary applications where I need to fill holes and not have the epoxy yellow quickly over time. Quick epoxies like Loctite 5 minute work well for fast setting but the downside is yellowing sooner over time. HXTAL is the Rolex of epoxies and stays clear the longest and is used mainly to preserve and fix valuable books and artifacts. The problem with HXTAL is it takes 1-2 weeks to cure completely. Epoxy 330 cures in about 2 hours and rock hard overnight so is a balance between time/clarity and time to cure.
So far I have used this epoxy for different applications and it is very handy to have on hand in the shop. Highly recommend it.
Used this to repair my father old wedding ring. I got my father wedding ring when he passed away. The stone in the middle was getting loose so I used this epoxy to glue it back in place. It worked great so far, plus it is clear.
FINALLY, a glue for metal that doesnt turn to rubber cement in 30 seconds!! This stuff is great!
It seems to be among the few glues I can depend upon to hold metal findings to the glass beads I make. I would have give it 5 stars if I didn't have to fuss w measuring and mixing.
