Diffinatly a good starter anvil, the face is hardened 54 hrc or so and it seems to be cast steel not cast iron which was defiantly a plus, it sings like an angel and has great rebound. Not a big fan on where the pritchel hole is, but it will do the job. It also did not come in blue it was black which I liked better anyway.

Awesome product! ! I was at first concerned about this anvil because of the low price typically you get what you pay for. Not this time the anvil is large enough to forge swords and plenty enough weight and room to do just about any job a $500-$2000 anvil can do. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. And I received it in 6 days much earlier than the posted date. Yes it rings like a bell with only a tap.

When I purchased it, it was stated as a 75 pound anvil. It is actually 66 pounds. I knew it was a cheap anvil when I purchased it, but so far it let's me bang some steel on it and has held up.

Well I got it in blue, was hopping for the black as others had mentioned. I "heat an beat" on some cold roll 3/4" square stock round, made a heck of a nice holdfast with this anvil for this anvil. worked real nice. I used silicone rubber mats under it and clamped down to stop the nice ring it rang. Bests value for a "real steel" anvil i have found thus far. Remember the 66lbs is good steel, the 55lbs is iron...

My husband has a blacksmith shop and I bought this anvil for him, he loves it. It doesn't take up a lot of space and it is perfect for what he needs it for. It is exactly what it says it is. He has used it a lot now and it still looks good.

Works great a little damage when received

Great anvil for just getting into blacksmithing. It’s cast steel not iron so it has withstood 3 weeks of hard use and the face shows no damage.

Great starter. I've hammered mild steel, 1095, and rebar all over this thing and it has held up perfectly well.

I received this item and have recently been able to set it up in my shop. You can see in the picture, that I had not peeled the protective paper off the top of the anvil face. I will start by saying I am happy with the anvil. After peeling off the paper, it does have a scratch on the face of the anvil at one corner, but so far it has not caused me any issues. I have used the anvil to make one knife so far and it held up well. I am a beginner knifemaker, but so far, I am enjoying using it and am happy with the purchase.

Great anvil for the price, I sand blasted mine and polished it up some, it has a lot of casting defects that are minor but with a little time you can make this anvil look great, it is far superior to the harbor freight anvil. it rings and has good rebound
