The lip to allow heating the stones seems to make a big difference. Adheres well to my dopping sticks.

A thermostatically-controlled ceramic heater for melting and keeping your dop wax at the perfect temperature along with built in storage for all your tools!
We have been using the Inland Lapidary DopStation for over a month now, and love it. It keeps the wax at a perfect temperature, never overcooking it. The stones stick every time. We use the feature of pre-warming the stones on the outer ledge. Thanks so much for a fantastic product. Also love the small footprint!
