I purchased one of these 3 years ago (not on Amazon) for about $650 and this version is far superior. I was able to get it up and running in a few hours.
The motors are smoother and will move faster between cuts (saves me a significant amount of time!). The sensors are now optical and are precise.
The software is 100X better, I am able to load my Adobe Illustrator file and it is the correct size to cut. It took a bit to determine what setting to change to get the laser on, but you need to select the correct board. The software might not be a legal version, but I am not sure.
It was easy to get the bed to the correct cutting height from the laser.
I would recommend to get a bathroom fan, the biggest one you can afford. It will keep the smoke out of your workspace. the one it came with is not even close to the flow that you need.
Machine works well but the fan quit working and it has been a hassle trying to get a replacement from the seller.
Works good after some adjustment and tinkering. If you purchase it will take about 4 hours to setup. You will have to turn your virus protection off to load program on computer.
I haven't used it yet, But mine didn't come with the video and manual.
