Started off with the standard "40W Chinese Laser" with no frills, bells, buttons, or whistles. It usually froze up midway through a detailed engraving, so I was stuck with only simple engravings. I got to looking at the upgrades that were available for it and saw they were readily available for about the cost of a whole new laser at that time (would have had 1300-1400 invested by that point) plus I would have to hire someone with a very good knowledge of motors, power supplies, and wiring. So i just decided to get this one after looking into similar name brand lasers. The name brand lasers would have run me about 8K. This came out of the box and set up quickly. Software went directly onto my Windows 8 computer. I use Corel Photo Paint 7 for other jobs, so i use that to convert to black and white. Engraving couldn't be easier. Measure your area you want to engrave in millimeters ( only in metric and not inches, only bad thing to say so far). Make a drawing window in corel the same size. Import artwork and resize to fit. Convert to black and white. Save as .bmp bitmap. Open laser engraving software, set layout to same size as window in Corel, Open saved File, resize more if needed. Click Engrave button. Move whatever you are engraving to meet the top left of the marking window (starting point). Set Power. Click start. Just make sure your water is always flowing and your exhaust has somewhere to go. I love it compared to the standard laser. I mainly engrave Nylon 6-6 for my business, but I have worked with leather and wood as well. Just takes some practice with adjusting the speed and power. Overall, you can't find a better engraver for the money.
I purchased this laser to replace a cheap 40w Chinese laser I was having LOTS of problems with and I must say I am impressed. The features on this unit are worth the extra cash. And in reality this unit is MUCH cheaper than other competitors. I initially had an issue with the unit when it arrived and the seller was very quick to respond and help me A+++
The customer service with this product is amazing. I’ve had a couple of technical difficulties with it and the company has literally responded within a couple of hours. I’ve used it to engrave several items as well as cut out letters for various projects. You can literally take any black and white photo and drop it in the laser software and engrave it.
This is my first laser and first time using something like this and I got the hang of it pretty easily. Make some practice runs to figure things out before doing an actual product. @chipofftheoldblunck on IG.
I have been using this machine for 5-1/2 months and it works very well. Like any "new to me" technology, I had a learning curve. However, very quickly, i have been able to do great work. Along the way, I have asked for technical assistance and I must say that the Ten-High crew is exceptionally responsive. If contacted during their work day, they often respond in less than an hour. I have even had a TeamShare live event with their engineers to help me through some software setup issues. Amazing service from afar!!
I purchased this as a way to expand my use of the Ten-High 4030 laser engraver. It works as expected I had some learning curve issues and needed to ask some questions. Ten-High personnel respond amazingly quickly, often within an hour during their time zone workday. They even spent an hour or more on TeamShare with me to work through my issue. Unmatched customer service in my experience

Description
I was a bit skeptical considering the flood of cheap laser cutters that are popping up all over the internet, but am pleasantly surprised with this one. It came from hong kong and arrived within a week of ordering it, it was packed fairly well and didn't have any damage. The software is a bit janky, it didn't want to install at first but I was able to figure out my way through it. The user manual didn't open at all and the instruction video was for a different model cutter but luckily it was fairly simple to set up. After the first few test cuts I was surprised that the mirrors were aligned and hadn't moved during shipping. it seems quite powerful for a 40w laser, that being said i've only cut wood and acrylic on it so far. One thing to note is to be sure to hook up the grounding wire. I had assumed that using a standard 110v grounded outlet would have worked but I kept getting small shocks every time I touched it. Over all I'm very pleased with this machine, just be sure to give yourself time to get a feel for the cutting software, I use adobe illustrator to create my art and then just place it in their software as a jpg.
instruction manual for software in chinese also the videos with no translation
great machine works very good, has some issues with the water pump but solved by the seller.
UPDATE:
After using this engraver for awhile, and figuring out how to make things work, I'm impressed with it. It's very well made and has been reliable. The problems that I've seen here have all been related to customer support--and the biggest obstacle there has been the language barrier. The sellers seem to be very nice people, and seem to want to help, but there are just so many challenges to overcome.
Because of that, I've just created a FaceBook group so that we can help each other out. Search for it as Ten High Laser Users. I'm not affiliated with the company, but will try to help.
========================
I hope that I can add to this review as I become more familiar with the machine. My timing was a bit unfortunate as I apparently placed my order at the beginning of a long Chinese holiday, so it took a few days to ship. I'm sure that the company did all they could, but apparently everything shuts down for several days on the Chinese New Year. Once the package got into DHL's hands, however, it moved along reasonably quickly in spite of a day spent at what I believe may have been the wrong airport.
In any case, the package arrived today--a fairly large crate. I opened it by first removing the top panel with a very large screwdriver. I'd tap it in with a hammer about an inch, or less, then push down on the handle so that the sides of the crate took the pressure. Eventually, the crate top pulled off. Don't insert the screwdriver(or pry blade) too far under the edge of the top because the padding isn't terribly thick. Also, be sure not to lift up on the screwdriver handle, as that will make the point go down toward the case of the machine.
Next I tapped the short end panels off with a plastic mallet, being sure to protect the machine from accidentally being hit by shielding it with some folded cardboard. Once the end panels were off, the long side panels folded down and pulled away easily ... with staple points sticking out. Be careful of those.
Inside the wooden crate the engraver is wrapped in plastic and protected on all sides by about 3/4" thick sheet foam. Once I had the top and sides off, I was able to lift the machine straight up. You need to do it this way because there are parts packed underneath it, and sliding the cabinet off the foam padding on the bottom might have damaged some of those parts.
It was getting dark by the time that I got the laser engraver on top of its table in my workshop, so I haven't had time to really look it over closely yet. I did notice that the handle on the front cabinet door was loose, so I want to check it out carefully before trying to use it. I also was not able to get the back panel/door that encloses the laser tube open, but maybe the finger latches will make more sense in the daylight.
The software CD that came with it had a disappointing surprise. My antivirus program detected a virus on it and deleted that file. Maybe that was a false reading, but it wasn't what I wanted to see right at first. For some reason, several image files on it won't open with my regular image software (Irfan), but I tried opening one in an editing package and it showed up there. I'll experiment with that soon. The videos are not in English, and show a different machine, but the context and content are clear enough that it shouldn't be a problem hooking everything up. It looks pretty simple.
Overall, I'm optimistic about this machine, but have seen a couple of little things that concern me just enough to be cautious. Hopefully, they'll prove to be minor items and the seller's tech support will help me through any rough spots. I'm really looking forward to trying this thing out!
Nice product!
