Reciently I began collecting products I will use to repair my own shoes and other leather products. I've used this product for many years, and it is very strong. I have used it to repair canvas, leather items, and my own shoes. You can't break it no matter how hard you pull on it. It is something every hobby person needs to keep on hand at all times. It has multiple uses, not just it's namesake, Sail Twine.
I have been using this in place of the 0.8 mm whipping twine I would normally use for lock stitching, whipping, etc. and I am very impressed at what a good value this cordage is. The quality feels on par with Rob Line, but at a fraction of the cost. The needle is borderline worthless, but that doesn't diminish from the twine itself.
Excellent waxed thread for sailmaking repairs. There may not be a lot of insight one can say about a product like this, but it does the job and isn't that what you're hoping to hear?
This stuff is a dream to work with. It is heavily waxed and makes the perfect whipping twine for line up to about 1/2 inch. For bigger line, a heavier twine would be in order. The included needle is not a true sailmaker's needle, but it is adequate.
Works great for rope whipping.
I use this for whipping on all types of cordage and lock stitching also. Needle works for my needs (16 strand and 24 strand climbing ropes and 3/8 12 strand hollow braid cord)
Probably will be order more in a different color

A 2 oz. waxed polyester sail twine. This is a polyester twine with a wax coating and includes a needle. This twine is commonly used for whipping the end of cords.
Just what i wanted. Many advertise this product here and I've ordered a few. But only this one is waxed. The others are supposed to be waxed but are not. Or they are waxed so lightly and the wax has dried out that I can't tell it's waxed and can't use if for wet applications. But this one is perfect. Thank you1
Good quality whipping twine, and, they include a needle. This twine will work well for line up to about 1/2”. After that a larger gauge twine would be indicated. As with all waxed line, it will get filthy if not in a bag of some sort. Dirty gray twine makes for an unattractive whip.
Good cord. You might want to buy additional needles if you plan on using this for more than just rope whippings or thicker materials because the needle that comes with it is to bigger for tasks other than those.
Nice product. Used it to make a repair on the sail without any problem. Received as scheduled.
This will be used around the house for projects that require heavier thread than standard sewing thread. Given the thickness and very tight twist of the thread, I expect it will serve my purpose well.
