These are so awesome. It only took a few seconds to attach them, and the ones I had to move were easy to take off with the tool and move them. Also, no more pokes from the pins. The entire pin is covered. one lost the inside, but that was my fault for unscrewing it too far. Still, now I can use my pins and the pouches without getting stabbed. They feel quite secure and don't turn as freely. I should have got these ages ago.
I have a messenger style bag that I've decorated the main flap with pins, but the standard backs were not secure enough and would pop off and a couple of pins fell off. I've replaced my backs with these pin locks, and they are GREAT!! The most obvious positive is that my pins are not getting lost, but I also like that the backs don't have sharp edges or areas that can catch on things, like sometimes the standard pin backs could catch on a sweater sleeve.

The barrels are long enough to cover the entire pin. Other locks I've had were shorter and left the pin point exposed to catch on clothing or skin. Good value.
