I somehow lost the earring back to my diamond earrings that were purchased at Costco which have fairly thick posts. I was worried that I would not be able to easily find a screwback style replacement that would fit and then I came across these with the extended diameter and I decided to take a chance. They actually look extremely similar to the original earring back and they actually fit perfectly! I can't complain about much except for the fact that I wish they weren't quite so expensive but most importantly, I can now wear my earrings again which is great!
My wife has a pair of expensive diamond earrings. Recently one of her backings managed to come off and the earring fell off. Fortunately she noticed and we found the earring (sigh of relief). We ordered these Earring Back Replacements. She put it on as normal. However, three days later, it too came off and the earring fell out of her ear. Fortunately, again, we were at home and found the earring.
I know I ordered the correct size because I have a high accuracy digital caliper that provided the size of the screw post. So, I suspect the problem may be poor tolerance in the earring back replacement. I hold open the possibility there's something going on with the earring screw post itself unrelated to the back (rather unlikely). We'll take the earring to a reputable jeweler to make that determination. If it turns out that the problem is with the earring post, I'll update my review to five stars and get the earring fixed. Highly reccomend if you have diamond earrings. A replacement I bought prior wasn't a screw back and popped off and went missing while I was sleeping but thank goodness my earring was still there the next morning. These fit perfect and being that its white gold, I don't get any sensitivity to my ears.
I, like many people, lost my screw back for my diamond earrings. No one out there had the size I needed. I took a chance and bought the biggest one. I was pleasantly surprised to see that would screw on. They are tight and I've had to really push it to screw them on, but I'm just so happy to have them. I bought two just in case. They come in a nice little holder. I would definitely buy from this company again.
So pleased. I ordered the .40 and they fit my vintage screw post earrings pefectly
Now i wont have to worry about losing the precious jewelry that i received from my mom.
Also, if your posts seem thicker than standard earrings, I'd suggest going for the .40.

This back is very secure and holds my nice size diamond earring very securely. It is not as easy to screw on as the other one but once on it is very secure and holds a 1/2 carat earring very snugly without any of the drooping issues.
I lost two screw backs for my diamond studs & needed replacements. These were just what I was looking for at a really great price. Item is as stated - even quicker delivery. Hopefully will not lose anymore backs, but in the event I am glad that I have these to fall back on.
There backs were a great fit for my screw-on earrings. They were exactly as advertised. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat. They are really nice as replacement backs.
Did the trick. Had to return the smaller size because it was too small and it was no trouble at all. Good packaging: stud comes in a small plastic container inside a small zip lock plastic pouch.
the screw on backs these replaced were only threaded at one point. these were threaded at two points. I bet they won't come off now. and about half the price my local jeweler wanted to order some for me.
