This is very simple and works great. I've poured aluminum and brass into it and both metals dropped right out after cooling. Even though there's no draft on the sides (walls are vertical), the metal shrinks as it cools after solidifying pulling away from the walls. The graphite it's made of has good thermal conductivity so it pulls heat quickly from the freshly poured metal (good for reducing corrosion / keeping shine), but heating itself VERY hot in the process. Don't be too quick to touch it without gloves! The graphite is perfectly happy being hot and cold and changing temperature quickly. The cast size is nice for remelting in my 3Kg crucible (and probably smaller sizes too).
I have done literally hundreds of pours with copper and bronze. It has been fantastic.
so far im liking what i see been pre heating for now getting it ready for the first pour will update after. packaging wasnt too bad
