Rathburn Ring Stretcher 6-1/2 Inches - SFC Tools - 48-135

Rathburn Ring Stretcher 6-1/2 Inches - SFC Tools - 48-135

My 25 year old wedding band was too small and after it was removed for a surgical procedure I couldn't get it back on to my finger. I went to a jeweler and was told it would cost about $400 to increase it from a 9.0 to a 10.25. Way out of my ballpark. So I find this gem. I worked on it over a three week basis just a little each day, no more than 10 strikes with a hammer. You could tell right away it was working. The ring wasn't deformed in anyway. I just kept at it a little at a time and I'm proud to say I can wear the ring. It is size 10.25 and I save $380. I couldn't be happier and would recommend it to all.

A little tip for use - put some teflon tape around it first. You won't scratch the inside of your ring. Go lightly. Better to trial fit it 20 times and size it up gradually than go for 2 sizes in one hammer blow and split your ring.

No dislikes it works just as shows does a fine job at moon silver Or gold

Needed some lubrication but seems fine

Awesome product and price would definitely buy again but hopefully won't need to solid construction should last forever very happy with purchase

Description

The Rathburn Ring Stretcher can quickly enlarge rings. It is an easy to use yet economical tool. A simple tap on the end of the tool using a rawhide mallet, spreads the outer mandrel and stretches your ring. This works particularly well for rings size 8 1/2 or larger. Please note that this is not recommended for use on stone-set rings. Overall length measures 6-1/2".

I liked. Worth the money.

It Works Great! The only problem I had was the small tip end of the punch mushroomed out after a few uses. But I just filed it back to round. After all It's not tool steel. If it was it would cost $50 or more. The jewelery store wanted $100 to resize my ring. This cost me less than $20 and I can use it over and over again for free. My ring went from size 11 to size 12. No problem. But go slowly.

Perfect
