The craftsmanship of these little clasps is really nice, expected something cheap
These are great for my keychain; they are not bulky. I can easily remove my car key when family borrows my car or when leaving it at the shop.
They can break after about 6 months or a year of tumbling around in my pocket. I bought a bag full and have extras to share. I also have one on my dog's leash to carry the clicker or trash bags.
I bought these In order to use them for my zippers on boots. I have issues with my back and have trouble putting boots on. This ring fits through the zipper and I can use a dressing stick easily to put the boots on. I know that's a novel idea I'm sure but it works. I also used one to replace a zipper pull on a robe. I think these are great and can find many uses for them.
I previously had a micro carabiner that came with a USB flash drive I liked quite a bit -- until it broke without much use. Since then I've gone through two orders of the smallest carabiners I could find, all of which were bigger than the original, which sadly I can't seem to find for sale anywhere. And then I found these clips. They're engineered better than the crappy carabiners I was buying and they're smaller, more secure and easy to attach/detach from my keychain.
Now if only I could remember where I left that stupid flash drive...
- i prefer to separate my keys in groups, this can do the job & connect the groups when needed :)
- The key ring can be removed from the Lobster Clasp & replace with other type of keyring or use the original keyring somewhere else.
- the Lobster Clasps is 1.5" from top to end of the Swivel snap
- the keyring is 1" diameter
- it took about a month for me to get it, so if you need it fast, it is not for you. If not, this is a good deal
- package arrived in a small 3"x2" zip-lock bag wrapped with bubbles inside a small (5") grey-color plastic bag. The postage bag was ripped/broken (about 1") but since the content was still there, so acceptable this time; be better if a more sturdy postage bag was used, coz the content could have be lost while the postage bag arrives...that'll be bad.

These are amazingly inexpensive and a very good quality (I paid $2.53). I use mine for various purposes, but the most use I've had is to hold my straight razor strop. I use it every day and this little item has to do its part. I stocked up on these because I'm always finding another use. The spring is solid, the swivel is smooth and the ring is tight. All parts solid quality. They took a little while to arrive, but considering the sales price with free shipping I think that is to be expected and detracts none at all from the value. For anyone who needs an item like this I can safely recommend these.
I just got these today and already have used several of them. For example, for Leatherman Micra, SanDisk USB drive, car key. They appear to be good quality. The claw closes tightly so no fear of it opening on its own.
D-Ring part was Smaller than I had expected. Didn't look exactly like pictured as the clasp has a small jump ring connected to the split ring. Not sure why. I removed the jump ring and they will work for the key fobs I made. All were in working order which is a plus. I would order again but only when I am not in a hurry to receive them. First delivery date before submitting an order stated Aug 14 - 2 (this was without Prime) so Needing them real soon, I thought that is not bad. A few days later after I ordered the delivery status changed from Sept 8th - 21st!! That is a drastic change!! Received them Sept 1. I gave them four star as they seem to be good quality for what I am using them for but didn't like the delivery date changes after order was submitted.
My daughters received a rubber-band key chain made with Rainbow Loom (or equivalent model) from one of their friends. They wanted to make some of their own. I looked for the best deal on the lobster clasp key rings and found these. Frankly, I was looking for the best deal when I found these. The price for 12 of these was less than what other suppliers were offering for 6. These are awesome! The quality is excellent, the clasp stays securely in place and the key ring itself is large enough to stay on the Loom during construction of the key chain. WIll definitely buy these again if 12 isn't enough for all of the key-chain gifts my daughters are making!
These are great. Far more than I know what to do with... but yeah. Using a couple for keys and a few for usb drives with a little hole in the case for attachment, which I want to be able to remove more easily. Using the clip rather than the ring keeps from applying pressure to the cheapo plastic... yeah.
Great little product. Reasonably sturdy. Decent metal, not all flimsy. Cheap as all heck, compared to the hardware store, as an add-on item, it's a no brainer.
