I've already used have of these and am looking to buy a larger quantity next time. These are a fine gauge and work perfectly. I was able to bend them into the shapes I needed without worrying about breakage, and the look good in jewelry, and that is the true bottom line.
I have to add a note here. I've used all 20 of these in the last week or so. If I use a heavy hand with the needle nose pliers, yes the silver plate will come off. It will come off of nearly every headpin I've ever purchased if they are gripped hard enough. Out of the 20 in this package only one was badly enough damaged that I couldn't use it for the pieces I was working on. I'll be happy to post pictures here of the head pins in use.
Excellent quality and just as described. Bright silver and thin enough to loop properly with my tiny twizers without having to use the husband's tools. Only issue is that I got 19, not 20 but I had some old ones from another set and was able to get the 10 pairs I needed. Very good buy as they are hard to find at the store.
Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Some things to note: not all of the balls are perfectly centered on the pin, but this isn't blatantly obvious with most designs/uses; the pin portion is a heavier gauge and somewhat difficult to work into a wrapped loop - be sure to have good tools. That being said, I've used them many times and am happy with the purchase!

I like the way these look when I put my earrings together. The wire isn't hard to make the eye area, whether straight or wrapped.

Got these jewelry pins in the mail and they are extremely shinny silver. They are longer than I thought... to my surprise, and they ended up being perfect to make the cork ornaments I had planned to use them for. So great item and if I sell the first round of ornaments, I will buy more.
