I debated this purchase for a few days. My dad has macular degeneration which has left him legally blind. We've bought numerous magnifying glasses with different levels of magnification and none of them seem to help anymore. Although this is small (which is why I was spending so much time debating the purchase), it has been a major blessing. I wasn't expecting such a bright light. Other magnifying glasses I've purchased had lights all around the rim, but they were so dim they were essentially useless. My dad couldn't find the switch to turn the light on at first with this piece, but once shown to him, he was a pro with it. He was overjoyed when looking through it for the first time that he could actually read a paper. I'll most likely end up getting another one as a spare for him.
Extremely bright light - it'll blind you if you look at it long enough... The magnification is great and the quality of the loop overall is outstanding. I use it primarily to repair the damaged grooves of vinyl records (i.e. skips) and it's the best loop I've ever used.
Much heavier and sturdier than I expected. Metal has a few slightly sharp edges.
I would not carry this lens loose with the change in my pocket. It's too heavy. I'd keep it on my desk or workbench shelf.
The lens is strong, definitely 30X power. The switch for the LED light is tiny and a bit hard to reach. The light is bright.
This jewelers loop is perfect for my needs. I shave with straight razors and use sharpening stones to keep them razor sharp. This jewelers loop gives me a great look at the razor's edge and helps me with my sharpening process.
I bought this illuminated magnifying glass a several months ago and have been using it on a regular basis. I like it that it will fit right in my pocket and it's not too bulky. The only one concern was that the set screw on the swivel was loose when it arrived but that was easily fixed with a small screwdriver. I'm happy with my purchase thank you

This 30X loop is a good quality product. Goid glass, good metal body, good lighting system. I have no way if knowing if it's really 30X but it seems like it to me.
There is distortion on the edges but that's to be expected. It's easy to use and works very well for examining the fine details of coins.
Not a simple single lens junk unit that is like looking through a fishbowl. This is multilens which gives a wide, clear view. I've had this style before, but the LED is a useful addition.
The one downside is that the magnification is not adjustable. But otherwise it's very well made, heavy duty, and the lighting option helps a lot. You definitely can see which jewelry of yours is 14k, 18k, (neither) and more, with this magnifier. I recommend it.

The light is perfect. The unit seems quite sturdy.
Haven't used it alot yet, but it functions great for what I have used it for.
