This unit works as advertised. With a 1000 watt microwave, you can easily make glass objects like pendants. Since there is no way to manage the annealing process with this type of kiln, you need to make sure you manage your impatience and let the thing cool off as much as possible......and you will still get come cracked glass. That is the nature of the game! The only thing I do not like about the unit is it is very soft and fragile. I guess they are all like that, but this is my first one and I have nothing to compare it to. Be schooled on how to repair the base of these when it is needed (youtube) and have the supplies on hand. I am going to order another one so I will have one to work with while the other one cools.

Used to fuse small bits of stained glass. Worked well.
Took a little longer to fire up a piece I was working on then a smaller kiln would but it works just as it tells you it should work . also I think it may have been slower to fire because I have an older microwave that isn't as powerful as it should be
works well, but life span is not that long. its not as durable as i thought

I needed a larger size for ornaments.
I initially ordered the large kiln 10 piece kit. Worked so well I needed a second kiln. This is the exact same kiln as the one that came with my kit. They are both large so it does take extra firing time. But you can fire multiple items at once saving time and money. The large kilns have always worked well for me.
