RingShrinker: Ring Size Adjuster, Ring Size Reducer, Ring Guard with UV Flashlight

RingShrinker: Ring Size Adjuster, Ring Size Reducer, Ring Guard with UV Flashlight

I have researched for 6 months; tried different ring aizera and if you choose this one-it's worked for me.
Just follow the instructions to a t. Clean ring well prior to putting product on ring.
I have decided to let ring sit over night and I have had great results.
Been over a month washing my hands and no issues. I have done three layers of
Product till I got the perfect size for my finger and I am in love. Also note I did decide on the first and second layer to do a side and bottom wrap around on the ring and I feel this created a nice seal. No peeling nor not falling off.

I am extremely pleased with this product. My engagement ring is "sleeved" with two other bands making it wider than normal. Because of weight loss I pretty much had to stop wearing my ring for fear of it slipping right off and losing it. I had a quote to resize it, but because of the gold factor the cost was quite a bit and the fact that my knuckles have gotten larger with age, re-sizing wasn't a good option. I tried probably 3 different types of the "plastic" re-sizers, none of them working well because of the thickness of my band. This stuff works. It's unobtrusive, it's comfortable, it's very easy to apply and, if necessary, you can take off and reapply as your finger (or knuckle) changes. I've had no problems with it coming off and I've cleaned with solvents, washed dishes and I swim in chlorine 3 times a week. I followed the instructions to the letter. I think the trick might be to really go overboard with letting your ring dry, both after you clean it and when you apply the solution. I washed my ring thoroughly, let it dry for a day ~ I then applied the solution in thin layers, letting each layer dry for a whole day, besides using the flashlight, before applying the next layer. Took me about 4 days, but the results are perfect. I've already recommended this product to co-workers.

This stuff works great. I probably could have done a better job of applying it, but it does the job on my wedding band. I tried the cheaper "phone cord" style clear plastic style stuff that wraps around and it got brittle and was always snagging things. This stuff fixed my ring and best of all you can't see it. Don't waste your time or money with something else. This is what you want.

RingShrinker arrived quickly and very well packaged to protect the contents. I have a very narrow wedding band so I was somewhat worried by other reviews that said the resin didn't adhere well the narrow bands. The first time I applied it based on the general instructions it fell off the next day. BUT I went back to re-read the instruction and found a little paper insert they had put in specifically addressing narrow wedding bands. I followed those instructions and the resin has stayed on since! I love the results! It works far better than the ring wrapper and ring tubes I've purchased n the past because its more comfortable (doesn't bulk up the back of the band on the outside) and dirt doesn't collect in it like it does with the tubular expanders. Very happy would definitely buy again!

I LOVE this stuff. I needed to resize my rings after a weight loss but did not want to make them uncomfortable with a metal sizer or plastic. I did not like using the UV light but after applying the material I took my ring out into the sun and let the sun do the work. Works wonderful and have already told others how wonderful this is.

Description

RingShrinker with UV Flashlight.

RingShrinker is a simple, fast, comfortable, and durable ring size adjuster, and is virtually invisible because it is applied only to the inside of the ring.

RingShrinker is easy to apply and is safe for all metals. RingShrinker works best on rings that are at least 2mm wide.

Instructions: Wash the ring with very hot water and (non-lotion) dish detergent. Rinse well and dry completely. We also supply cleaning pads which we recommend using after washing and drying the ring. Apply the RingShrinker resin ONLY indoors or in the shade (never in direct sunlight).

To cure, expose the ring to direct sunlight for 1 minute or with the UV Flashlight for about 3 minutes.

RingShrinker can be applied as bumps or continuously around the inside of the ring. Be sure to use only a small amount of resin on the brush so that you don't apply too much at once. Multiple applications can be applied for greater ring size reduction.

Once hardened, your ring is safe to wear immediately. There may be a slight stickiness on the surface which will go away quickly.

Be sure to close the container tightly and seal in the light protective bag when not in use.

I have two rings that I got professionally sized larger but came back a bit too big, so much that one ring kept sliding to the palm side of my finger, and the other ran the risk of sliding off my pinky. Rather than sending them back again, I tried the Ring Shrinker, and it works great. I followed the enclosed instructions exactly, and it vastly improved how the rings fit. Having used Ring Shrinker, I have to agree that you don't need much to make a difference on how it fits. I brushed on a couple of coats to two areas about 2 mm in diameter each, thinking it might not be enough, and it was just enough; anymore and I would have had to start over and remove the product. Really, just use one coat first, cure it with the UV light, and see if that's enough, if not, then add another coat. I suspect you can try filing some of the excess off, if necessary, instead using the Remover that comes with it, but then you run the risk of filing the actual ring. I'm quite pleased, and even if comes off a few months later, I would happily re-apply Ring Shrinker. I figure that my knuckles seem to get inflamed for periods of time, so having the rings larger to begin with and use Ring Shrinker is better than to constantly professionally re-size them up or down, which will probably lead to ruining the integrity of the rings.

I purchased this item for two reasons. One, because I have lost a significant amount of weight and my rings are all tipping over, and it's driving me crazy. Two, because we are traveling abroad soon, and I don't like to wear any of my real jewelry. I purchased a bunch of "costume jewelry" rings. The first ring I tried it on is perfect. I couldn't have hoped for more. I will update my review as needed depending upon the wearability. Thank you for a quick and easy to use product.

The best product I've found for this purpose. My husband's wedding ring is fairly thick, so one that wraps around the band isn't an option. Further, this can be built up easily for rings that need to be made quite a bit smaller. I put 3 or 4 coats on, taking the time to cure each layer with the included light, and it hasn't budged or flaked off. The kit also includes remover should you decide you no longer want the shrinker in place. There's enough in the jar for dozens of rings, but if I ever run out I'll buy this again.

TLDR (full review below):
Easy to apply, plenty of extra resin for future applications. Comfortable on your finger. Durability depends HEAVILY on usage and how applied, as well as type of ring. Harsh chemicals, aggressive use (removing ring often), thinness of ring/application will all weaken it. Doesn't mean it won't hold up, and it's easy to replace but how it holds up will vary a lot person to person.

Like many I got this for my wedding band. From when I was first sized to the big day I lost a good amount of weight and my ring was so loose it could slide right off my finger (not good). Since I have a thick band most of the spacers I saw wouldn't work, and I don't like the look/feel.

1st use took many applications as I wasn't sure how much I needed (more than anticipated). I put it inside in a few applications and did not make a full ring on the inside, more like a "C". This worked for the big day, but when I got in the pool the next day it immediately slipped off. Maybe the chlorine expedited the process, and the multiple applications was also not ideal.

2nd use I did a full ring around. This took a couple days to come loose from my band, but did not come off. Like a ball bearing, I can spin the ring on my finger while the resin stays in place. For my honeymoon I took the ring off multiple times and swapped for a silicone band for swimming etc. Possible the sunscreen and repeated removing weakened the resin, because about a week after my honeymoon (2ish weeks from application) it cracked slipped off the ring). This one was also a couple applications, but much less than the first.

3rd use (most recent) I used a full ring again and was able to do it in one application. It has held up very well. While I haven't swam/used sunscreen/removed the ring it has held up no problem. Plenty of showers and other such wear. It still started to slide in the band after about 2-3 days, but it doesn't slip out. It helps the inside of my band is beveled, opposed to just smooth bore, or it would likely not work.

In terms of comfort it's probably the most comfortable out there as it doesn't create a pressure point, but evenly distributes the compression. That said, it's not as smooth as the metal my ring is made of and grips my finger a little. Not a problem for me, but if you need to remove the ring often for work it could be a problem.

Applying the resin is easy and clearly stated in the directions. Be sure to use the light and provide adequate time. Mine was ready to wear immediately after curing. There's plenty of extra resin for additional applications if you need to do it again, it should last you a long time. The alcohol wipes, however, are pretty limited so you may want to use some sort of nail polish remover after those run out.

I wasn't too excited about the other ring sizer options out there, because I like to take my ring off and clean it with a toothbrush every day, and the little plastic doodads available seemed like they would make that difficult. I also have a ring with a wide shank (5-6mm), and none of the other options seemed right for a wide shank. I actually ordered a set of ring sizers that didn't fit at all.

But the resin worked perfectly! It seems to be stuck to the ring for the long haul, I don't notice it's there, and I can still easily clean my ring every day. It went on just fine and dried immediately with the UV light. I used three applications. I'm super happy with it.
