I used these for Girl Scout pins. Many of those pins have poor butterfly clasps and the membership stars in particular are notorious for falling off and waiting for someone to step on them--if they're ever seen again. At $1.50 a star and $2.50 a WAGGGS pin these backs will pay for themselves in no time.
The same pins are now stable and showing no sings of moving. They also look much classier when they're snug and flush with the fabric. These backs also look like they will keep pins upright, including the Brownie pins and cookie sale pins, which are always spinning around and ending up sideways and upside-down.
I don't think I'll ever want to use Girl Scout pins without these backs again.
These are GREAT for Girl Scout pins! They stay exactly where you want them without any spinning. I bought enough for my whole troop.
Brass dammits disfigure over time, get caught on my vest and tear it up under my uniform, and eventually, they fall off at the drop of a hat. These rubber dammits are SOLID. They stay on consistently, CAN'T disfigure, and don't tear up my vest under my uniform shirt.
These are a great solution for any pin backs where you want something that doesn't show, like backing collar insignia. They are much less visible than the yellow plastic dammits, or the brass ones. These are quite flexible and rubbery and hold onto the pins very well.
They are a bit shallower than I'd like however, which is why I'm knocking off a star. Most of the pins I have are a bit too long for these to fit tight and flush. It's not bad enough that the pin flops around, but it does make me think that over time as I push them on and off the pins will start to stick through the other side. Fortunately, with a bulk bag like this I can just toss the old back and use a new one.
Was skeptical they would actually work better than original metal butterfly backers. However, after using for 1 week I have to say they are well worth the money. I use them for commendation bars on my uniform. One of my bars has pins that are longer than all the others. So it was always sticking out further than the rest. With these rubber pin backs, the pins slid all the way so that the bar was tight to my uniform. They are super secure so I dont have bars falling off anymore. I would highly recommend.

Well, I'm not 100% sure on that, but these rubber backs seem to hold the pins so much better.
I'm always loosing these things off my uniform. I chose the pvc type over metal because you never know if the metal ones will be a tight fit or not. These work perfectly
I'm getting more serious about my enamel pin collection so after reading reviews I bought these. Well let me tell you they are fantastic! They feel more secure, pins go flush with fabric, no more spinning, and are better than metal backs. Great buy and I am extremely happy with how fast they arrived at my home.
Delivery was fast. I used these for Girl Scout pins. They are snug on the pins. This will prevent the girls from losing their pins.
