Li’l Gen Water Beads with Fine Motor Skills Toy Set, Non-Toxic Water Sensory Toy for Kids - 20,000 Beads with 2 Scoops and Tweezers for Early Skill Development

As far as a water bead goes, these do exactly what they're supposed to and definitely feel all squishy and cool and sensory-stimulative. But, DISCLAIMER, if used on or spilled on concrete, they dry up/ absorb all the water around them then stick to it. In other words, I cannot get them up without powerfully hosing them off and now there are little colorful gelatinous pieces all over my yard. My son is 20 months and definitely likes playing with these, but since he is young he wanted to throw them everywhere and on the ground. Also I did catch him considering putting them in his mouth so watch out for that! He has never been the type of baby to put things in his mouth either. I think and older child would understand better that they are supposed to be used in/ sit in the water. So if using with a younger toddler, be careful and maybe let them expand before letting the LO play with it. They really do expand A WHOLE DREAKINH LOT!! Cannot even believe how many balls are everywhere from what seemed like a small amount. Another recommendation: follow the directions on the box ;) tried to show in pic the massive amount, and that size is the biggest these get.

Okay. So here's the deal with these cool things. If you do not have pets or children who put things in their mouths unpredictably then these are great! If you're in this group of people, I highly recommend these as a way to pass time. I gave these to my children in a large plastic bin (about 9 x 13 size) each and also gave them each an empty ice cube holder to sort into (an egg carton would work well too!). They were happily occupied for a solid 40 minutes before they started making chaos.

My problem was, as I watched them playing with these and as some inevitably ended up rolling onto the floor, I looked down at my puppy and a light bulb went off. What would happen if we somehow missed cleaning one or more of these up and she found them and ate them? All kinds of frenzied and not so great scenes went through my mind and now I'm a little too afraid to let the kids play with them. Taking them outside wouldn't fix the problem as the dog obviously goes outside too. I wrote an email to the company asking what would happen if the dog DID ingest one or more and never heard back.

My kids absolutely love these! Even I do!! I myself played with them for an hour straight and didn’t realize it until I looked at the clock and I was like wow my hands are pruny and I’ve been here for an hour, someone get me away from these addicting things 😅 Amazing quality for the price, I even ordered some for my niece for her birthday. I highly recommend these!!! Also, the tweezers aren’t really wide enough to grab the beads but I’m sure you can open it up to get it to be more open, however my kids just walk around playing with them which is helping their fine motor skills, the scoop scissors are amazing. Overall A++++++++++

Nana and I "tested" these for the baby and had the time of our lives. Ben is 2 I will add a picture of him playing but he picks them up with the claw things that the beads come with and shifts them from one bowl into another. We only used about 10 beads because we just wanted to see how they worked but we did go to bed so we soaked them for about 9 hours. At 9 hours they were pretty bloated I could say maybe too full, so if you look at the pictures some got a crack and crushed apart so do watch how long you soak them. But Ben loves the way they feel and bounce. Keep them off the floor they get dirty.

Oh my goodness, sooooo much fun!!! I put a bunch in a large tub so my 3 year old could play with it. I may have played with it more than him at first! So addicting!!
At first I added a big bowl next to it so he could transfer the balls from one container to the next with the “tongs/grabby tool” and had him switch with each hand.
A few days later I hid some little toys in the balls and he could find them. We had so much fun with it!!
I love that you can let the balls dry and reuse them at a later moment again too.
The tweezers are useless though since as an adult I wasn’t able to pick up any balls with them. But love the tongs!!

I bought this for my 1 year old nephew. Once we taught him not to eat the beads (it took about five tries but he finally got it, although he still needs supervision so he didn’t try it behind our backs) it was all about experimenting! We put them in a water table and he was fascinated with the kinesthetic experience and visually from the multi colors. They’re really quite beautiful, like little gems. He would roll around in them, and just tried many different things to see what would happen. It really brought out the little scientist in him (all little ones are little scientists experimenting). I definitely recommend this!

I bought these for my daughter for her 4th birthday. I got her a water table and we put these in it. She and my 1 year old son had a blast with them in the water table. We eventually had the bright idea to put a bunch of the beads on our trampoline after they had soaked up water and were full sized. We seriously had so much fun jumping together with the water beads bouncing around and squishing under our feet. The kids were slip-sliding around on the smooshed beads on the trampoline and we were all laughing breathlessly, and having the most fun together we’ve had in a long time!! We’d throw them in the air and throw them at each other. Definitely a hit product!! I had no idea that I myself would enjoy these so much! All three of my kids loved them! My oldest son is 10, daughter is 4 and littlest son is 1. I’m 31 years old, and we all had a blast with these!! Will def purchase again when we run out! Try them on the trampoline if you have one!! Your kids will LOVE IT!!

Product is exactly as described. They are great. Not any bigger than a normal sized product though, about the size of a small marble. My only complaint is that the outside packaging came completely smashed.

Also. While this is NOT the products fault in anyway. I was too nervous about my 2 yo eating these to let her play with them. She did fine....but I had to watch her like a hawk. Also. I had to keep the dog away as he eats ANYTHING he can. I won’t be doing anymore of these until she’s a bit older.

I’d been eyeing water beads for awhile and just hadn’t made the purchase. Seeing the scoops included in this set sold me on this particular brand, as I’d also been wanting to get some of those for our sensory bins and to continue to work on hand-eye coordination and motor skills development. As other reviews stated, these got to a great size after 5.5-6 hours. They are super cool and my kids loved playing with them - it definitely held their interest for quite awhile. I took one star away only because I found them to break a bit easier than I’d like and the included tweezers didn’t work very well, but they are pretty much what I expected. Great sensory fun - do beware that they bounce, and also due to their size, I’d not let kids play with them unsupervised or else they could pose a choking hazard or just be EVERYWHERE in your home! Haha!

These were a 3rd birthday gift for my son. My 6yr old was jealous (I didn’t realize that they are a popular toy for many ages)
But we made 2 batches and the kids played together with them for hours.
I made the beads in a tub with an attached lid. I wish I had something bigger because they bounce and end up all over.
After a few days of being wet they got very easy to break. We didn’t store them in water but they are just always wet. They are probably over absorbing the water and getting like jello. Even picking them up by the handful squishes them into little pieces.
I have not tried storing them with the lid off, maybe open air would help with them getting too soft.
But you get so many that even if they only last a month it’s a great deal and toy.
The tweezers are horrible. The beads are too slippery to pick up or you could grab them really tight splitting them in half. We got rid of the tweezers and use the cup scissors tools. They cut some beads in half and squish the beads into pieces now that the beads are too wet/soft but were great the first few days.
The small pieces seem to vacuum up really easily
