After a great deal of trial and error I have finally found these to be the perfect safety backs for fish hook earrings. Many of the safety backs on the market are highly visible and detract from the look of the earring and I spent a great deal of time and money trying various versions in hopes of finding some that would virtually disappear…these do just that. In addition the price point is incredible; these cost less than I have ever purchased such a product for at wholesale jewelry shows and the ones available there were all larger and much more obtrusive looking than these. I did read several reviews where people complained that they could not get them over their ear wire. This is plus, not a drawback, because it means that, straight out of the package, they will securely hold any ear wires you have that are standard to fine gauges, while easily being able to be stretched to accommodate even your largest ear wires. If you have a larger than average ear wire simply choose a needle that is approximately the same diameter and push it into the safety back. When you withdraw it the plastic will have stretched enough to slip right over the ear wire and hold it securely. I have a number of earrings from Africa and Tibet with very large wires and this trick worked perfectly. In fact I have been so pleased with how well these function and practically disappear that I not only purchased enough to put them on all of my own earrings but have also been gifting them to friends and family.
I paid full price for this item and my review was objective and unbiased.
These work for pierced earring that slip off your ears.
That said, after using them about 3 times on earring I take off when I take a shower, these backing start to
Lose there stiffness, and slide off.
That said for the price, not a big deal, just take another pair out to use,
I like the product because it was an expensive came package easily and simply in a baggie with tape but they got hard over time and became very painful to my ears in the back especially when I try to put on studs I suggest using rubber and not this type of material but that is just my preference everything else was good just not my kind of thing
This is my second purchase of these little gems. When my house was burglarized the thieves actually stole the whole bag! Yes, they are small, but I never had them not fit on any of my earrings, fish hook style or otherwise. I am a bit of a steamroller and just jam them on if they aren't wanting to fit, so maybe it was just me, but the fact that I am buying a new bag after the first was filched tells you I liked them. They are tiny and hard to work with so I am not giving them 4 stars.
These came earlier than I had expected them to since the estimated arrival date wasn't for another couple weeks to month. They came and they are exactly what they were supposed to be. They work lol. I don't know what else to say.
After I typed this out, I realized that I didn't inspect them as well as I should have. I mean, I peaked in the bag and saw that they were okay, so I just assumed. Then I read some of the 1 star reviews and people were saying that they didn't have holes or they were too tight a fit for their fish hook earrings. So I dumped the bag on my desk and started looking at them. They all seemed to have holes and I picked up a few and slipped them over the fish hook earrings that I had just bought from the same company on Amazon that just came today. They fit. The holes were the right size for the hooks. So, just as I said before, they work and I don't know what else to say.

I hate the backings that come with most earrings as they never stay in place. These are non-slip and work as a great replacement. I use these now with all of my earrings, especially the expensive ones. You can't see it at all when you're wearing them.
It's small but it's great! It's just what i needed and now i have tons. I used to always have a hard time finding the right one that fits, going through all my other earrings and swapping them out. Now i dont have to do that. It shipped before the expected date so Im happy about that. I actually stopped wearing my stud earrings because of that problem. The prices for these are great!
I am constantly losing the backs to my earrings. I refuse to wear them without backs and I've lot earrings without realizing it, when I didn't have a back on them. Thank goodness for this bulk lot! It took a while to arrive (they come from overseas) but they low price is worth the weight. I can now wear all of my favorite earrings, without worrying if they'll slip out and be gone forever. Have you ever been out somewhere, maybe at lunch with a friend or shopping in a department store, and realized that you've lost an earring? It's so frustrating! It's even worse if someone else has to point it out to you, then you wonder "how long have I been walking around looking like a flamboyant pirate?"
After loosing a few very cool earrings I finally ordered these backings. They're cheap (which is a bonus) and very small so they don't weight you down. They also fit very snugly so you don't just get a false sense of security. Some of the reviews have said that they are too small for fish hook earrings, but I have a variety of styles and they fit all of them well. I'm very pleased!
