25 Sterling Silver Split Rings Charm Bead Parts 5mm

25 Sterling Silver Split Rings Charm Bead Parts 5mm

I love these! I will never use a standard jump ring after using these. I have a 50 year old sterling silver charm bracelet that had jump rings for the attachment of the charms. For years, I thought I would have to have the rings soldered so I wouldn't lose these charms before I could ever wear my bracelet. Upon using these, I found they have done the trick nicely and I have no worries about losing any of my charms. I have also used 6mm and 7mm sterling silver split rings for other projects and am very satisfied.

I bought these to attach charms to a charm bracelet. I figured they would be more secure than using jump rings. I was right. They're small enough that it's hard to work with them and get them attached to the bracelet and then attach the charms to them, but the extra security is very much worth the effort for expensive sterling silver charms. I think these would also work great for attaching delicate pendants to a chain or string of beads.
My suggestions for using this product? Don't put them to use the day after you trim you fingernails, because slightly long fingernails really help in opening them enough for the charms and bracelet links (or whatever else you're using them for) to go on to them. Work with them on a dark background in a well lit area (e.g. a piece of dark colored cloth underneath a lamp) so you can see them well. And don't get frustrated if it takes you a while to get the hang of using them. Took me a while but now I'm confident in my use of them. And if someone with fat, clumsy fingers like me can learn to use them, anyone can.

This is an excellent value. The 25 rings weigh about 3 grams total, which is over $1.50 worth of raw material alone. Plus, they had to be manufactured and shipped from Hong Kong. Since they only cost me $5 total, I don't know how the seller can make any money on this. I've seen the same thing for sale in 5-packs at my local crafts store for $6, so this would have cost me $30 if I had to buy them from there.

The rings are sturdy for sterling silver, which I would expect to have more give than base metal rings. They made the perfect extension for my necklace which had been too short.

I have an allergy to base metal, so before I wore them on my necklace for too long, I had them professionally tested with an electric metals tester by my coin dealer, and they checked out as genuine.

These work wonderfully! I was looking for an easy to fix to add a few silver charms to my charm bracelet. The rings are on the small side but they're still easy to get on and off. I attached my charms with these rings 2 months ago and I've had no issues with the charms falling off. So far, I haven’t experiences any discoloration of the silver either. I’m very happy with these!

These are great for fixing broken jump ring. They are like a baby key ring. You’ll need couple sets of tweezers to get en on but, a reg ring requires being soldered together. This prevents the need for a tiny spot weld. Super convenient and twice as strong.

These little split rings are exactly as described. I do suggest that if you have to put more than one thing on it (ie: on a link AND a charm), don't try to do both at the same time. Do one first, then the other because putting both on at the same time will spread ring too much and it won't go back to it's original shape. Just be careful and they are great.

Tough to use if you don’t have the right tool. But exceptional once they are in place

As described, great for a charm bracelet. Does take a while to ship from over seas but price is worth the wait

Exactly what I was looking for, have held up well, no tarnishing or "turning" noted with use. Would definitely purchase again.

Easy to use
