Beadaholique SSJL04 20-Piece Sterling Jump Lock Rings, 4mm, 20-Gauge, Silver

Beadaholique SSJL04 20-Piece Sterling Jump Lock Rings, 4mm, 20-Gauge, Silver

I have been buying these for years. I am pretty sure I lock them at the opening, but honestly it doesn't really matter if you are able to because they close securely. Very heavy gauge and the opening lines up nicely and they close regardless. The only way to get these jump rings open is to use pliers. Super happy. At beadaholique or artbeads.com you can get a better price, but prime is always a good thing : ))

These are really great to keep you from having a charm fall off your necklace or bracelet. They are tricky and you do need to know how to use them. Once you get the hang of the proper way to use them they work great.

Very good quality. Arrived pretty fast.
I used them for my pendants and they worked like a charm :)

Bought these to fix a heavy duty silver bracelet and thought they’d be too flimsy but I’m pleasantly surprised. Really strong little clasps. Worth the money.

Jump rings were delivered on time, I love the lock rings. It was the first time I used them and they were very easy to use. I wanted to make sure the rings closed securely and I was hanging a pendant on a finer chain and making jewelry for bridal gifts. I felt confident using these jump lock rings....
Great price too....

Description

A new 'locking' jump ring, that won't come open accidentally. The perfect compromise between the versatility of open jump rings and the security of closed jump rings. You will receive the rings in the open position. Assemble your piece, then follow the directions provided below to lock the jump ring in the closed position. 1. Use two smooth or nylon jaw chain nose pliers to grip the sides of the Jump lock at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, with the opening at the top. 2. Holding the left side stead, twist the right side of the ring a quarter-turn away from you. Place your chain, charm, or finding onto the Jump lock. 3. While continuing to hold the left side stead, twist the right side back toward you a quarter-turn past the closed position. 4. Begin to bring your Jump lock into the closed position. As you twist back, very gently push the right side in just enough to make sure that the edges of the two ends make contact with each other. As you reach the closed position, you will hear a click. 5. Twist the right side back and forth very slightly to align the two ends and finish hardening the metal into the closed position. Once the Jump lock is clicked into place, your jewelry is secure against regular wear and tear. †Unlike regular jump rings, these rings will not open accidentally. Please be patient when working with this new product, once you get the hang of it, you will wonder how you ever lived without them. PLEASE NOTE: †Make sure you are happy with your design before locking your rings closed. †These locking rings are one-use-only. †They can be opened again with your pliers, however, it is not recommended. If you close the ring again, the locking ridges will be worn down, and the ring may lose its 'locking' capability. Measurements: 4mm outside diameter. Wire is 20 gauge, or .032 Inch. Quantity:20 jump rings.

It's sort of hard to maneuver these, being as I'm older and can't see very well. I nearly lost a treasured charm, so I bought these to ensure I don't lose it due to flimsy rings again. Very sturdy and a good product.

The size is good the gauge is good for some connection, but not all.

Good quality, I did end up needing a bigger size though, but that was my fault.

Good quality rings.

great
