Came nicely wrapped and packed to keep from getting dinged. Both hammer faces are smooth - I didn't need to do any polishing to get a nice smooth finish on my hammered pieces. It's light and comfortable to use especially for small work. I wouldn't use this for large forming work though. It's best for rivets (what it's made for) and forming smaller gauge wire (16g and smaller) and very fine chasing work. Great price for the quality.
Great for the beginners and experienced
Hammer seems to be very well put together. I am using it for pounding wire and the metal is a little lighter than I thought it would be. Hopefully it does the job. The price was great.
As a beginner, I have made several types of rivets. This hammer helped me do it right on my first try.
